Have had this for 4 years- most of last 2 years it would not start. Was not a battery issue. Contacted Craftsman Customer Service who told me to take it to a local Ace Hardware that was supposed to be a designated service place. They kept it all summer then gave it back to me telling me they couldn't fix it, that there were no parts for these, and that they couldn't even get a schematic from Craftsman. Contacted Craftsman and they told me they would get back to me.... Next summer the thing by a miracle actually started up for half the summer- then wouldn't start again... Took it to every place in my major city and NOBODY would work on it. They all want to sell you a new one-and say they only work on gas powered machines... This summer I tried places again- with zero luck. They don't even make the 60V anymore also- its a 20V now... Contacted Craftsman AGAIN as a last ditch effort- and they responded by saying there are NO service places for this thing, and NO parts- especially batteries if needed. (Told me the batteries that were in stock are too old to be be sent if wanted.)... Basically, they told me to buy a NEW one and offered ZERO help!!!! ............ Before buying another brand (Will NEVER buy Craftsman again after this!) I took machine apart myself and figured out that the reason it would not start was because the red button on the side you push before pulling up starting lever was not pressing in enough to cause the "click" that starts the machine... I put a couple layers of tape inside of button and NOW it works!!! WHEN it works it is a GREAT mower, but would never buy from Craftsman EVER again!!! Also, be warned that it is VERY hard to find anyone that works on electric mowers- they all work on gas powered!!! By a miracle, and luck I was able to fix this problem myself- and I am the WORST mechanic... My advice: DON'T buy anything Craftsman!

Hi, I'm sorry to hear of your experience with this mower and, more importantly, with the craftsman customer service. If your mower was still within the warranty period, they should have replaced it for you with another comparable model if they couldn't fix it, and the same model was unavailable. I bought both of mine when they were on clearance and one of their batteries (7.5AH) stopped charging about 18 months or so after purchase, I reached out to Craftsman customer service and they sent me a brand new battery at that time. I tried reviving the original dead battery but was unsuccessful. Thank you for watching this video and sharing your experience and thoughts. Have a nice day, cheers.

I have a 2023 RAV4. This did not work for me. I had a limited time to get to the settings screen. I managed to a factory reset and I had to reenter the information again. Once it found my Toyota account I got back all my settings and everything worked correctly. You do not lose your settings as it is stored in the cloud somewhere. Hope this was of help.

This is amazing. I had the same issue after my 2021 Rav hybrid sat for 4 weeks. I did some searching on google and found a reboot process by holding down the volume button, which restarted the media screen but didnt fix the issue. I then made an appointment at Toyota where they told me that they needed to charge a minimum $150 diagnostic fee. I called them back after seeing this video and said 'Don't touch my car, I need to try this youtube trick first!'. Picked up the car, tried this hack and BOOOM! It worked!. Thank you for putting up this content.

Unfortunately this method didn't work for my 2023 Rav4 TRD Off-Road when I was having the same issue, but I was able to resolve the issue by pulling the 15 amp fuse labeled "radio" from the fusebox under the fuel and hood levers. I kept the fuse out for a few minutes, then replaced the same fuse and restarted my car, and unpaired and then repaired all my devices, and the issue was resolved. Thank you to this creator for setting me on this route after the dealer would only recommend a full replacement of the media system.

DIY is the way to go. Just changed the alternator and hydraulic power steering pump on my Honda Pilot and saved a bunch of money. Also have a 2020 RAV4 that I do all the maintenance on. My 1997 Honda Civic which I’ve done the maintenance on since I bought it has 300,000+ miles on it and still runs like a champ.

Hi, I agree, I also have a 2008 Pathfinder LE V6 4WD that I've been doing required maintenance on for a while now and plan to continue and keep it going as long as possible. About 18 months ago, with help from my friend, we replaced the spark plugs on it, and that was an involved job, but saved a lot of money and was done properly with genuine parts. One thing I hate is the 15.5 miles a gallon that it gets using the recommended premium gasoline, wish it got something in the upper 20s but it's a big engine, cheers.

Hi, I'm not saying I know better. What I'm saying is the cost is super high for something like this. Mine was going to cost me about $400, as you can see the parts were not expensive, so it is mostly labor cost. If I do the labor myself, then I'm saving money. Nothing against dealerships, the truth is they charge too much for simple things, It's a known fact. Thanks for watching, cheers.

My 2019 RAV4 hybrid was parked in the garage for a month and and after I came back, the screen went on and off and the buttons didn't work. (just like in the video) I made an appt with the dealer and then searched on google and found this video. It works. Crazy as it sounds, it worked. Is this a money making scheme for the dealers? I think the battery should have a three year warranty, I had to replace one of mine through Craftsman support a while ago for exactly same reason. If yours is out of warranty Craftsman support maybe able to sell you one, although the large 7.5Ah 60V battery would probably cost around $350, which sometimes can be the price for a brand new mower including battery and charger, for example Kobalt 80V ones go on discount from time to time, just a thought. Thanks for watching, cheers.

Craftsman told me they are not replacing any of these as the ones they had in stock were old and not good enough to send. They stopped selling the 60V a couple summers ago. HORRIBLE warranty and customer service!!! You can use the smaller batteries on it possibly- or find a 60V power tool cheap to use that battery. Battery itself if you can find it is outrageous price...

Our nearest Toyota dealership is an hour and a half highway trip away. I went there I to buy a PCV valve for outr 2017 Highlander and I mentioned the radio/screen cycling on and off thing that happened twice in the last two months. Each time the process mentioned in this video worked and I told them it did. Then the lady who is the Service Manager told mr what to do and said they tell any customers who have that issue to do that. She suggested 20 minutes instead of 5 though and because I did do 2 five minutes of this process each time that would add up to 10 minutes. If anyone else follows this video and doesn’t have success with a 5 minute attempt, try doing it for 10 minutes.

@@WheeNC-DIYby the way I mistyped a 20 minutes. The Service Manager said 10 minutes. I have also heard that after doing this process you should turn off, lock and leave the car for a few minutes. When you return, ( in the first two cases for me it didn’t seem to work but I locked the vehicle and the next day my wife drove the car and the radio worked. Just yesterday and now for the third time, the radio started doing this on/off thing. It happened less than 15 minutes after I was commenting to my wife that it hadn’t done this in over a month ( the second time ). I jinxed it. Someone said to pull up on the parking brake lever two times, holding it up for 5 seconds and then pressing it down twice and holding it down for 5-10 seconds. We are due for a service on our 2023 RAV4 Hybrid and the manager told me to mention the issue at that time and they will check for any service bulletin updates that might fix this. Since it’s been happening for at least 3-5 years on people’s vehicles I would think they would have this sorted out by now and not charge people who’s cars are past the warranty for the fix or replacement. This is ridiculous.
