When he was drinking from the bottle the way he looked up at you like he was nursing. Obvious he got some comfort from seeing/hearing. Great work.

It’s isn’t just about suckling food but it’s used to regulate the youngsters mental well being, just as some are easier to wean because they don’t need the extra holding by mother. Like human children they can each be very different when it comes to nursing and weaning. It’s quite interesting to study and watch the different behaviors between siblings.

It looks and sounds like something out of a nightmare

He loves eating...all wild animals love eating...it's the main goal in life, as it sustains said condition. It's also DNA dictated. I appreciate all you do for these primates. I do think treatment should be a bit more clinical with less humanizing. These are wild animals and should be presented as such. These baboons are not human infants.
