yall really gotta understand what level of metagaming the system Jones is doing here. he found a legal move that actually isn't great but it's so unusual and borderline illegal that no one else trains for it. so now you got Jones just unloading these barely legal oblique kicks and then sometimes scoring just a sideways knee stomp "on accident' which IS illegal but then he gets a pass because there's 10,000 hours of footage of him getting away with already. UFC is not a legitimate promotion, I'm sad to say. as someone who considers Jones one of the most dangerous martial artists in history, nothing could be better for the sport than when he is gone from it.

Rick Clark was a blue belt in Tae Kwon Do when I began training under Nak Yong Chung - 6th Dan in Evansville, IN. Rick was and is still not well liked by other martial artists due to his condescending attitude as if his shit doesn’t stink. He was humbled one night by another brown belt who weighed around 250lbs. who broke his nose. - Truth!

Why aren’t there any wing chun peoples today who understands combat and is willing to actually fight like this man did,instead of just a bunch of KZbin overrated self aggrandizing wing chun sifus who can only fight a wooden dummy.

That strike brings back memories,my ex lifted me up,years ago,I didn't need anyone telling me about this strike,I grabbed His sides, and boy did He let go of me, And He was angry I did that,He never grabbed me like that again.

I like the slow moves, because even though I learned self defense,I still have room,for more learning, America has been not safe,and people who have lived here,for years need to be alert when around people,and better know some self defense, I would rather see it slow then fast,but if you are in a situation,you better do it fast.

Funny how I learned karate in my early thirty's, I don't remember my black belt teacher showing what the strike was,for,all we did was moves,I can surely remember kicking someone in the face if I had to,and I am 64 years old,since then I have watched Muay Thai, and Thai chi, and Kata.

Wong Shun Leung, would smoke him, he was Yip Man's best fighter. He is the one that actually show Bruce Lee how to fight and the reason Wing Shun was popular back in Hong Kong.

Please get it correct. Aiki-jutsu and Aikido although closely related are not the same; Aiki-jutsu is an older form with more ground techniques and linear motions.

I saw this in the mid 70's. My teacher, Abraham Lui, had a copy of the film and a film projector. He had been a student of Cheng Man-Ching since 1935. He began his studies with Master Cheng at a military academy in Nanging. He went on to become a general under Chang Kai-Shek. He later reconnected with Master Cheng in Taiwan.

Thanks so much for posting the older stuff. Lots of good information and techniques in the material they taught in the 80's and 90's. Especially today where most of the fixation is on MMA and BJJ. The traditional and more obscure rarer forms of martial art also have a lot to offer the martial artist in a self defense situation. So much emphasis nowadays on the competition side of martial arts and not the things you need for the street.

Guys ofc it’s not filmed, it was around the 1950s to 1960s when WSL fought all those, it’s not like people at that time has mobile phones, because it was a street fight.

What would Vince Morris do with Gracie Jiu Jitsu, where they come in for the clinch, the priority, then it's at their convenience of the takedown. As he said here, do not get into a wrestling match.
@Noone-rt6pw5 ай бұрын
This is applicable karate. In contrast to being taught kata, then having to wait years to find out what you're supposed to be doing is worthless. Which gives other styles more immediate techniques to practice, so a person can protect themselves.

Apparently in his youth, wong won and fought over a 100 street fights including one with a russian boxer and another with a western fencer. Which sounds crazy out loud ngl. I bet he can kick most people asses including my own at the end of the day
