Great tips! I hadn’t been able to work out what the pusher handle was for, so I’d been pushing, not very successfully plus risking damage to the Spiralizer,. BTW, the small, about an inch long, raised areas on the side of the base, opposite to where the blades are inserted to store them, are there to release the blades. Just press on them and the blades can be slid out without having to press the blades down…not much of a tip as you can do it your way probably just as easily lol.

Just bought one of things, I think it’s junk ! The cucumbers always fall off and don’t stay in the right spot while turning it , returning for sure.

do you cook any of that? i dont find zucchini very appetizing in raw form. it's extremely bitter. i'll usually fry it or steam it or stir fry it.

Thanks sooo much! love the onion idea. I had this for years and had no idea how to use it.. Main reason wanted this (my g/f gave it to me) be zucchini spirals and sweet potatoes....and more. I saw the blade in the unit upon opening since it had no space in the drawer on this unit for that (3 spiral one we have) so I keep it on there. We tried it last both me and hubby who is a mechanical engineer so he had a bit of fun winding it but I see we didn't use it the right way that handle on the bottom and very vague directions and I thank you for showing us...so while being locked up in our home due to this dang virus :/ it was making veggies with it. We had carrots and onions in my lean boneless baked chicken thighs with seasonings (the carrots were like spaghetti), there was a sweetness to the meat juices due to carrots and onions. So with a side of spinach, we had a healthy FUN meal. Glad I saw that handle thing as it was a wee bit hard to do but now I know ;)

I just tried my Paderno spiralizer for first time today & shredded the onions just the way she demo'ed here, Wow I shredded 3 onions in no time at all, froze them in bags for later use!! My onions will last a long time this way, awesome!! Thank you :-)

Excellent review, thank you. I make home-made bread and butter pickles, so I thought I'd try pickle noodles, would be great on hot dogs, sausages, etc. Paderno does make great products.

Thank you for this fantastic video! The manual was so unhelpful. I was having trouble getting the blade insert out. You said push a little on the back and out it came. I watched 2 videos before this which glossed over that part. Great tip on the onion! Don’t we all hate that chore because of the tears! My new toy! I think this will be one gadget I’ll use. Loved the tips about cooking the apples and sweet potatoes! Thumbs up to you!!!!👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

This video has been extremely helpful. Thank you for taking the time to make it and sharing it. I just bought a vegetable spiralizer identical to yours but there was no instruction booklet included so I turned to KZbin. You filled in some of the finer details such as holding the smaller handle while spiralizing....I didn't know that. Many thanks.

I like my potato fries crispy so I wouldn't want to cut down the side...which allows them to stack high instead of being too packed down.

Great tips and I like that you mention what you do with the veggies and fruit. There's things I never would have thought of making. I bought a similar spiralizer last week, which came with no instructions. I saw the nubs on the feet and tried to pull up instead of wiggling sideways like you mention. I found the easiest way to release it from the countertop is to slip a fingernail under each foot. Once the tip of it is underneath, it pops off no problem. By the way, I too have a mandoline and was quick to order gloves from Amazon for extra protection as one slip could be disasterous. Thanks for sharing your video!
