This game is totally a time sink for sure...I have 2500 hours in this game and growing. These kind of games have this iterative game mechanic which is extremely addictive, your next factory can always be built better than previous.

I would love to see some cool modded maps, or even official ones if Coffee Stain has time in the future. It would be very much within the lore to have numerous planets that we “satisfactorize”

Being overwhelmed was never a problem for me. I always did one thing at a time even when it felt like I'd hat to do everything I concentrated on more or less one thing. I always took my time with factories and that's probably the reason why my first playthrough is now at around +450h and took me around 2 years 😂😂😂

The first 6 Tiers in Satisfactory are fun, after that I become very overwhelmed and quit those worlds. I regularly go back and start a new one and get excited about it, and get to Tier 6 again.... then quit again. Once I need huge infrastructure that requires more time to develop and get components than a biome doesn't have to another biome... that's where I go.... "yeah I'm done" way too much work to get something going. But that's just from a filthy casual like myself.

I honestly hope they don’t make a satisfactory 2 and just build off this if they can. Would be cool making this planet habitable and then getting in a ship (season 2) to do the same thing on another planet with new resources and new possibilities

I think having a rocket or Fortnite like bus to use in conjunction with the jet pack or parachute would be dope to get from factory to factory. Personally don’t like using my trains to get around or making roads for vehicles

I relate to this so much. I’m currently sitting through my like 4th play through of satisfactory. But every time I’ve played through it I get to like phase 2 and burnout cuz I have all these ideas but never have the confidence or feel happy with how I want to do something so eventually I just stop playing. It’s so frustrating cuz every time I do a play through I can get to coal power and complete all the tiers up to tier 4 but trying to complete phase 2 I just get so pooped and quit

I recently discoverer X4 Foundations. It's also automation, but in a space simulation setting. Where you end up with a factory producing ships for your carrier fleet. While you can manually pilot a ship and teleport between ships in battle.

Honestly, I don't feel overwhelmed as much as frustrated usually. There are several features that significantly annoy me when it comes to the factory designing of the game. For instance, having no way for miners to line up with the world grid paired with the fact that they are big and their collision extends further than it should. Another good example is having to have a conveyor belt between stuff even if they're right next to each other. Another annoyance is the blueprint designer, you have no way of scanning a current factory, you have to build it in the designer and the designer is very small so you usually have to make like 10 blueprints for a good factory. Then it's difficult to connect it all up due to small annoyances like not being able to switch the direction of a vertical conveyor belt when building it (I wanna be able to start from the top and build downward, but the stuff still goes up the conveyor). The list goes on, but you get the point. There are soooo many examples of this where the gameplay hasn't been polished enough or thought through on the basic level that it makes the game extremely unsatisfying and frustrating to play much of the time. Don't get me wrong, the game has loads of potential and I think it's a truly special game, but it needs a significant redesign from the ground up if you ask me.
@bennyjerman14 сағат бұрын
Idk about the blueprint but placing the vertical at the top then placing the bottom should change the direction

Overrated game: Steep learning curve: the game's mechanics and UI overwhelm at first. Performance issues: lag, crashes, and other technical problems. Limited building options: restricted by the game's building mechanics and lack of customization options. Repetitive gameplay: the gameplay loop of gathering resources and building structures is repetitive and boring. Unreliable multiplayer: the game's multiplayer is highly unreliable. Hostile creatures: the game's hostile creatures can be too aggressive and frustrating. Resource scarcity: some resources are too scarce, making progression too slow. Limited vehicle options: lack of more vehicle options and customization choices. Limited exploration: the game's world is too small and lacks diverse biomes to explore. Lack of NPC interactions: lack of interaction options between NPCs No endgame content: the game lacks content and challenges for experienced players. Limited blue-print system: the game lacks a more useful blue-print system Transport systems lack polish: bugs, poor features or lacking features Bugs and glitches: many frustrating bugs and glitches that hinder their progress.

*_"Satisfactory is one of my favorite games of all time. In this video we will dive into what makes Satisfactory such a great game and why it is so easy to sink hundred of hours into it without feeling like you've even scratched the surface of what the game has to offer."_* You never finished the game like most people, things got way too much of a grind late game, and the factory you were proud of all the time, then quickly became totally inadequate for any future progress.

The worst thing is that recent patches broke LOD distance and factory tick. I always look to far away machines and cant see them working so I think there is no fuel etc or they loose a lot of detail.

When you were talking about going to different planets and transferring items between them it sounded a lot like another factory builder out there called Dyson Sphere Program. It's an amazing game. It's another factory builder like satisfactory but with a top-down view. I highly recommend.

I would like to see a factory fullfilment order board, where other players can post item needs, and you can manufacture items and send them to other players. or trade goods.

There are various blocks I'd like to see. A quarter foundation set with an accompanying half wall set would solve many issues. More blocks in the frame set wouldn't be out of place. Introducing the packager earlier would also be fun. The biggest change I would suggest however would be to change the blueprint designer or add a second one that is 50% bigger on each axis.

The thing that I’m most looking forward to is somersloop and Mercer sphere lore. Which I think is almost guaranteed. These things have been such a meme in my playthroughs. Like “yo, what’s up, annoying thing making ADA yell at me. No I’m not going to pick you up. There’s a goddamn army around you. I’m not dealing with that for no gain.” I think actually wanting these heavily guarded items will naturally lead to more fights if that’s what you want. Another thing I’m really looking forward to is recipe changes. I am BEGGING for them to fix screws. I actively avoid them at all cost on large builds. Bolted RIP use more iron than the regular recipe ;-; and they are def not better than stitched RIP with iron wire (my preferred recipe)

Update 1.0 will probably have quality of life stuff like the biomass burner belts, lore, and something to do with some of the materials like the S.A.M. ore. Anything else would be really nice but I don't expect it like more biomes or more tiers of stuff.

The advice, at least specific to Satisfactory, that I give new players is to not focus on the end product, but rather the next step. Most people I've talked to that burn out on this game get there because they feel overwhelmed by the increasing complexity of each new item. I'm in the process of wrapping up a map i started in January of 2022, with over 800 hours of work into it, and I'm still loving the game as much as on day one. As content creators, burnout can manifest a little different for us with the pressure to always present something new, but in the end the same principles apply. Think about what you enjoy about the game, find a way to play to that strength, and don't let yourself get overwhelmed. It's not a competition, play to have fun. Nice brand, btw. - V

It's common for these games but for me it was the part when 1-2 of a product takes the Satisfactory calculator and still some excel spreadsheets to work. Unless someone really likes maths I would say it's quite discouraging, hopefully they'll balance the end game requirements as mentioned. The second part is FOMO and playing with friends/community compared to playing just solo. These games can get a lot different if you just build for yourself or progress, compared to playing together. Lastly it's easy to get caught up on struggling between doing visuals compared to doing efficient factories. Mainly it's time management but if you're doing one too much instead of the other or mixing it, the tediousness can hurt the player too. Overall a great game, just how we approach it can make a lot of difference. And this is coming from a 38 year old gamer just having a firstborn, maybe it's me :). Wish you well on the channel.

The solution to burnout is to find new ways to game. You create arbitrary goals, and that gives a new expeirence of the game. For example, I have a "trains only" map, where a given station only creates exactly one product. My next map will be a "no handcrafting" game.
