I’m going to see them at a small venue in Albany, New York later this week. I’m really looking forward to it. I hope they sound as amazing nowadays as they did in this vid.
Does anyone know what that monster guitar Glen is playing? It's like the .45 ACP of steel guitars. How do you play that monster guitar, it cant be that easy to play

Came here from a comment under the masterpiece Litanies of Alain. This is a great example of sampling, but the original piece is Litanies and I'm studying this in organ right now ❤ incredible how easy it is to lose sight of which artist actually had the original idea for masterpieces like this 😮

It's funny and true. Always loved this song and then one day 40+ years ago heard Litanies on a classical station and immediately made the connection, though I never knew it even existed before then. This led me to follow up on who this "Jehan Alain" character was, which introduced me to the wonderful world of his organ music. It's a bit of an acquired taste, but unique and wonderful. Add him to the list of other geniuses whose lives have been cut short by the folly of war.

I'm sittin' in the railway station Got a ticket to my destination On a tour of one-night stands My suitcase and guitar in hand And every stop is neatly planned For a poet and a one-man band Homeward bound I wish I was Homeward bound Home where my thought's escapin' Home where my music's playin' Home where my love lies waitin' Silently for me Every day's an endless stream Of cigarettes and magazines And each town looks the same to me The movies and the factories And every stranger's face I see Reminds me that I long to be Homeward bound I wish I was Homeward bound Home where my thought's escapin' Home where my music's playin' Home where my love lies waitin' Silently for me Tonight I'll sing my songs again I'll play the game and pretend But all my words come back to me In shades of mediocrity Like emptiness in harmony I need someone to comfort me Homeward bound I wish I was Homeward bound Home where my thought's escapin' Home where my music's playin' Home where my love lies waitin' Silently for me Silently for me

War has always come at a tremendous cost, but when we consider the toll it takes on the innocent-especially the 350,000 child soldiers forced to fight in over 60 armed conflicts-the weight becomes unbearable. These children, robbed of their childhoods and futures, are the heartbreaking embodiment of our collective failure to protect the most vulnerable among us. Listening to Pete Seeger's "Bring Them Home," I am reminded of the power of music to awaken our conscience and the urgent need to end all wars. Humanity cannot afford to keep sacrificing its future on the battlefield. We must strive for peace, for the sake of every child who deserves to grow up in a world free from violence and fear. Let this be a call to action: to lay down arms, embrace our shared humanity, and build a world where the next generation can live in peace.
