If intention is to upgrade on Martinelli's position from the left the same way as the notion to recruit Kudus for the right would be to compete with Saka, then yes Isak is the man. However, in terms of being best suited to organically complete and hone the central striker position with scalpel like finishing significantly beyond that currently provided by Havertz, then either Gyokeres or Vlahovic would be much better options than the Newcastle man.

Personally I’d rather to go for Šeško and spend big on a LW. A player like Kvaratskhelia, Leão, Williams, Rodrygo. Need to win silverware to attract them. If Gyökeres or Isak come, fantastic too. Also push for Douglas Luiz or Hjulmand as a Partey/Jorginho replacement. Need experience in there. Kudus is a great winger, but spend 60-70m on a player who’s not going to start on the left, worries me.

Signing 3rd, 4th and even 5th choice targets is what got us into a mess in the back end of the Wenger era, James. We went from Benzema to Lacazette in the summer of 2017. A decision like that set us back multiple years because a club that's run like us MUST make that player work. I would much rather we go again with the same options that took it to the final day, then invest big money in a player the club isn't 100% convinced by and then feel compelled to play, costing us points. Lacazette played 5 seasons for us. Pepe got 3 (and would likely seen another 2 were it not for Saka coming from the academy). I say this to say, be careful when you plead for the club to sign just "anybody" purely to fill the hole. We have reached a critical point in our project and a decision like signing Lacazette on a 5 year contract instead of Benzema (or even sticking with Giroud!), can be the difference between titles and top 4 battles.
