Ryu Suzaku went after Zoda and was quickly killed and after cold sleep returned to life 150 years after his death, it's kinda depressing to know that the world around you has changed all the people you once knew are long gone and that cute blondie detective or who she was is also gone. It is really sad, but at least 150 years later certain characters finally got reunited.
