Just watched making the case and I heard you call Clyde Drexler "Clyde the slide" it's actually Clyde the Glide. Respectfully correcting. Keep up the good work !

Best compliment was when Pat Reily said " Where This Alian Come From" He dunked on way taller opponents. He was 6"7. Long arms,meat hooks. Amazing too watch.

I wonder how many "fakes" are actually reactions to the attempted block. I love the way when his "lack of quickness and athleticism" leaves a defender on his azz. Then he waits for him to get up so he can _shoot it in their face._ I'd also like to add, I love it when reactors make the vid the focus and the largest part of the screen.

Larry is the top dog. Do NOT miss DJ. Dennis Johnson. Larrys BRILLIANT and largely unsung teammate. Legend in his own right. Larry would not let them hang his number unless they hung DJ’s number next to his.

I would pick the Celtics in this match up, especially since I feel that the 91 Bulls were better in the playoffs than the 96 Bulls. Michael was a lot more efficient in the 91 playoffs, with better shooting percentage and much, much better passing. He was older in 96, so his stats were lower. This is why the 91 Bulls only lost 2 games in the playoffs

In answer to your Q, Eastern conference was way tougher at the time than the Western, look at who Bird had to defeat to get there, he did sweep Jordan 3-0 twice

Only listen to the greats who played with and against Larry. They'll tell you how insanely good He was. Magic said that Larry was the only player he feared.

I am not an expert in basketball and I don't have encyclopedic knowledge of players from the 1960's thru today. But I keep hearing that Larry Bird was not the top scorer or rebounder or defenseman or passer or clutch shooter that player X was. The thing is, usually that player X also wasn't the top in all of those categories. Larry evidently was an extremely good passer, defenseman, rebounder, shooter and was the guy his team WANTED to have the ball when the game was on the line and someone needed to make a play so their team could win. All the other greats like Koby, LeBron, MJ, Dr J, Kareem all had known weaknesses in some skill or another that Larry didn't seem to have. Bird's biggest problem was Larry Bird being stubborn when he should have physically taken care of himself.

24:59 Not only that, between Magic’s five rings and Bird’s 3, that only leaves two other rings available that decade. Almost as dominant as Manning and Brady in their football greatness era.

I don't think that magic can help Really are better than one another it's just that Larry had to go through the Eastern conference had to find all The way to the finals He literally had to play a game after he finished playing a game while the Lakers Got a little break in between and didn't really go up against that many people it's not to say that magic wasn't great but it is to say it was pretty d*** lucky that you didn't have to fight Through the East conference which Chicago Bulls bad boy kissed his I mean go ahead look it up it's just a lot. He accomplished more in his small time than most people do in 20 years and that's the truth

Larry might have had a few more championships if he’d had one of the greatest coaches of all time Pat Riley and one of the greatest all time players Kareem on his team. I feel he did an awful lot given the circumstances. When Larry joined the league the Celtics were the worst team in the league. He improved their record from 29 wins to 61 his rookie season. The next season after acquiring Robert Parish and Kevin Mchale the Celtics won 62 games and a Championship. They improved one game. Who was the real difference maker on the team. Kareem was the best player on the Lakers for at least two of their championships in the 80’s . Bird was always the best player and clutch difference maker on his team. If you factor in his missed games he didn’t even play 11 full seasons. I think he did very well. The people that say he can’t jump. He had the same vertical as Karl Malone 28” . Nobody ever said Karl couldn’t jump. 😂

also on 3 point shooting Larry first 5 years he was under 30% because his coaches requested not to shoot to many but mid eighties he started working on the more , his last seven years he averaged 41% and champiionship games he was 42.2%. also Larry was in the league 13 years but he only played 12 in 89 he was out all year and only played 6 games
@aramhamparian96413 ай бұрын
Longevity is over rated. I basically go by a player's peak years. For a five year stretch, I would put Bird's peak against anyone's. From 1983-88 he was the best player in the league if you are comparing players who did everything at an elite level on the court. But it's all subjective in the end. Great commentary and react bro. Good to see you back at it. 👍

In order to be the best you have to beat the best and Larry did that he beat magic he swept Jordan twice he beat Hakeem he beat the bad boy pistons he beat dr j and the sixers and he beat Kareem oh by the way magic wasn’t even the best player on his team that was Kareem so the bird and magic comparison should stop right there
@haroldrichardmodiya37013 ай бұрын
I really think the Celtics are the only team that could really beat the Bulls. The Celtics with Mc Hale, Parish, Walton would be a real problem, and with a prime assassin Bird🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉, fireworks! The Bulls did have Rodman, but Mc Hale was unguardable. Having said that, the Bulls had Pippen, Harper, Kerr, an outsanding( which doesn't get enough credit, they always did the job, when called upon). I am biased with MJ, l'm going for the Bulls. But seriously, l'm scared of these Celtics, from all the great teams in history, l believe this is the team that could have beaten the Bulls
@MicroWave2334 ай бұрын
This is a hard match, the 96 bulls were one of the best defensive teams of all time and the 86 celtics are one of the best teams in both categories and had a deeper bench. I'd say celtics in 7 cause they had a better front court. The bulls always lacked a great center.

I know two Larry Bird reactors who completely switched to doing music reactions. Their subs increased, but I thought that they sold out. The love for clicks, subs and monetization superseded their love for their guy... Larry Bird. I unsubbed them. They prolly don care, and I don't care as well.
