great video. i've had mine for a couple of months now but never knew about the drain behind the side air vents. did you do the 2zz swap yourself? how much did it cost you overall in the uk?

Loving the content. Just doing the basics with my 1ZZ at the moment, but engine swap and big stuff is definitely on the cards if the car treats me well! Love those seats, are they OE or aftermarket Recaros?

thank you, I am really pleased people are enjoying my ramblings! :) They are Honda Recaros from a DC5, quite an expensive sought after seat, so comfy and suit the car so well, But i want heated seats so hopefully i'll be able to heat them

Loving this series, just picked up an MR2 for similar money to have a winter project ... Any advice on cheap but decent ignition coils to use? Want to avoid OEM coils due to a set costing more than I paid for the car haha!

@@AshleyHazell unfortunately.. Yeah coils are expensive. I was lucky I has a spare set of 2zz ones to test with.. Best place is try Andy at Bofi Racing or tcb toyota parts for new.. Or try facebook.com/marketplace/item/1095237478770413/ These guys are really good for parts.

How did you manage to spun a bearing?
@Pistolspete82
@Pistolspete82 28 күн бұрын
@@zaby_gt9412 I've not pulled the bottom end apart. But spun bearing on a 2zz is kinda common. I think I drained too much oil after it puffed a load out on track. My own fault after fitting a baffled sump and getting levels all wrong, not done this since always kept them perfect 😂😂 Or could be cos the engine had 170k miles and I was taking it to a track every weekend 😂😂

Wish I’d seen this guide sooner, just bought myself one a couple weeks ago. It’s got some dodgy rust on the front chassis uprights where the control arms mount, I’ve had a look today and doesn’t seem structurally compromising but definitely bad in places. I guess the best plan of action is the usual underside rust treatment? I’m sure it could be welded if needed but I guess that type of work isn’t a cheap bill?
@Pistolspete82

@@Pistolspete82 Its not that hard if you get some pulling tools etc. The only thing is when you price up all new bearings and other bits it adds up very quickly. Easy £700 in parts alone.
