This game has always had a bit of jitteriness to me in VR. I will take a better look into it as to why. Maybe a mod conflict playing with it more now that I got a Quest 3 even possible changes with the resolution, but maybe turning it to ultra settings back at the Machine Factory probably was not the best with all the weather effects I was going through messed more with this recording. Specs i9-13900KF 64 RAM with 4070ti hopefully new game update (B99) will improve the performance.

I got the bad then the good ending. Along with 3 others. There are 4 more Myst games. I hope they get developed for VR. These are a mind ÷u(<. The screenshot was an absolute must but they missed an opportunity to hand write notes. It's VR for heaven sakes, should be able to write notes.

Did The trap book on Tay? I have not seen that ending. There are like 8+ endings based on order or where you did the trap book. Too bad that it locks you in the credits each time.

I'm back... so confused. Even with the crazy numbering system and the pictographs I couldn't get it. So I came here. Did exactly as you did to solve it and it still didn't work. Now I'm frustrated. Had to shut it down. I'll come back later. Hopefully it's just a glitch because right before that I was in the submersible thing and it wouldn't stop at any of the locations, just kept going. Then It moved my center outside of it so I had to restart.

Liked the old way for the sub. Newer one is where the peg on the circle is where it will take you. In VR the sub felt deep with the controls too far forward from where you entered it. The school house helps a little with the numbers, but that number system is very weird to me still.

@@Mr_Nuggins so it seems that atleast on the 2024 flat version the animals are the same but the order is different each time. However the VR example I found was exact to yours on Steam. I'm on quest3 so there is another factor so who knows. I got a number wrong somewhere so back to those 6 locations.... again.... [sigh] lol

Didn't notice on the domes. I'll have to recheck that. On the older 97 version i think it just showed it on the done and it was just a timed puzzle.

Did the same parts as before. This time refusing the book at first. I closed the game after trapping self as the credits are unskipable and may have hit something in OBS through the Steam VR Dashboard. I got all the way to the tone box on nightstand and checked and was recording for 20+ min of just black with my audio. I could have reused that first part but it was as jittery shit show and I was drifting in the cage.

Thanks for he kind words maybe one day this will be a bigger channel. I can do pretty good in VR over a few hours. When build 97-98 dropped I was doing close to 4-5 hour sessions in VR on my old save. I know they added several new stuff for mouse and keyboard play, but totally different in VR.

Playing as normal or comfort settings it can be very chill. Comfort setting you have to work to break something. Like the gearbox explosions are just flesh wounds. Fire it back up and just continue as normal.

There are plans for AI trains in future and we will have to pay attention to signals. That may be a few years out from what it looks like as I have not seen anything going on with it. Mostly now is not to foul the main into a sidetrack as it can be too late to correct.

For detail as in graphics. Before the FPS issues I was running Reshade. Had HDR and tonemapping making it look even better and a little less moody. I might try setting that up again. Episode 0 had it.

There are like 16 in game cassettes that are playable. I am messing with a custom tape right now using some music from Non Copywrite Sounds. At least to have a good 30-45 min of music as it is quiet for me in game other than the engine sounds.

Its not as complicated as it I thought. It can be done in a folder as Playlist_XX and just a drag and drop of files, or if you want to play in a specific order you need to make a Playlist_XX.pl text file and it has a few more options

I do have a old HO scale that my parents made me as a kid. I kinda want to get it going again or do a smaller scale like N scale Cats just wonder. They are immortal and immune to trains. Need cab companion DLC or something.

Is this made by the same people who made the original? A bunch of stuff changed-- not that it's a bad thing. That whole planet on the rotating base thing was entirely new. Also, the door that you went through that was jammed with the knife was different. In the original, you just kinda shimmied under the door.

Going from 2D to 3D mostly changed some stuff from the 97 because of 3D limitations. There is a door in the temple room hallway in the original that I was looking for. Think I got to go back to the Gold Dome as it might have move due to new space limits. After recording I did go back to the original to proved I was not crazy.

While I still vastly prefer the final stage in 1.0 both thematically and aesthetically, I do appreciate that Castle in this one is a rolling microcosm of everything else you have had to deal with in the Radius culminating in a CQB nightmare. That said, the last time I ran through was without a suppressor (for reasons) and it made it surprisingly easy right at the end. I guess they were trying to get closer to the sound and they all freaked out, clumped up in the corner at the top of the ramp in the courtyard, and I was able to merc all but two of them with a single underbarrel grenade. 😂

Having the suppressor condition go low I think is what helped at the end a little. I have seen a few videos after my run and those stairs and top can have a good load of hostiles. I didn't repair the suppressor from the AUG just swapped it onto the SCAR after I bought it. Did think about the under barrel launcher, but was no sure if the stomper would go into the castle and have me blow up.

Yeah, some VR devs think throwing items like Grenades are light as a feather. I can literally whip a grenade from Vanno in to the Radius cloud.

It can be very chill when things go your way. New weather and simulation updates changed a bit. Steam is challenging while the diesel electric ones are fairly easy. The diesel hydraulic can overheat, but pulls a lot. Fun one is the DM3. 6 speed manual transmission. Plenty of power, but slow.

Thank you for checking the video out. I saw yours and was like Kids Playground that was a fun one. And you had a few outside stragglers and I got very very confused on the enemy count for the train depot. Thought you might get a local area respawn like some of the other missions do.

I thought it would be a 5-10 min video. I did cut 30min of shooting range stuff before I started the video. I think I am better now, Lows are much better a few Highs still peak, but I don't sound as distant. Using 4 different filters for the mic now LOL

May be time for a new HMD. I get dark environments for ambiance horror and story, but dadgum, I'm getting sick of playing VR games where you can't even see what you are doing. It's almost like they are using it to compensate for low polly.

I think some of the issues with this one for how dark it is was I tried a new encoder and had to convert back to what I used before and played with the video. Game itself is more moody than dark. Underground level is pitch black

Interesting.... on the quest you cannot use the camera if you have a magnified optic weapon in your hand. It's like it can only show one view at a time. The camera view will show the optic view.

The second from left line art? I had a recording corrupt/forgot for when I unlocked the shortcut from Kolkhoz to Vanno. Train bridge safe house for that one, don't think it was the tower safe house. I am missing the Pobeda Factory pictures. May hunt for those in next side missions if Pobeda is available.
