Dakgangjeong is the sweetest of all Korean chicken dishes :) This is because the main ingredient in the sauce is starch syrup. Or maybe the dakgangjeong in the house you're visiting is particularly sweet. Sangchu ssam is one of my favorite Korean dishes. It looks so delicious. Thanks for subtitling the video. I had a good viewing thanks to that. I'll be waiting for your next video as well.

Sorry didn’t see your comment earlier! That’s awesome! 😁 I found an easy program in Toronto and got a student visa. My then-bf now-husband Alvin came to Toronto with his COPR via express entry. He applied in 2020 (I think) and we waited for about 1.5 years before getting the invitation to come to Canada. I think he got it faster because he opted for PNP to Ontario. We recommend that you go through an agency so that you can apply for PR without any mistakes! Hehe my Sumikko plushies are pleased to know that they made you laugh 🤭

Looks like I’m only the 2nd comment here but I was watching another vlog from Japan and I was in the kitchen getting food and when I came back here to my room the other video from japan was done and this one automatically played next! 😄 So I wasn’t sure if I was going to watch teh whole video but here I am and still glued to my iPad and your video is almost finished playing, and I didn’t switch channel! Korean food is the best comfort food for us too 🤭 We didn’t follow any specific recipe for the pasta but we got our inspiration from this video kzbin.info/www/bejne/rmq5aYCOap10mqs and the salad is pretty simple, it’s just mozzarella, tomato and some chopped up basil, slightly salted with balsamic glaze. Enjoy! 😉

I’ve always wanted a life that’s less hectic I guess? I knew the only way to be able to retire comfortably is to make the move when i’m still young and able. Unless I am rich enough to migrate to another country when I’m old, which is unlikely 😅 and CAD because there are opportunities, good education system, it’s also rather clean and safe.

I think I just prefer the culture in Canada? Plus it’s closer to the US so we could take lots of road trips or short trips! But yes AU is definitely more convenient if you plan to visit home often.

Fellow Singaporean here. We are in Vancouver and moved here in June 2019 :) We also questioned ourselves countless times whether it was the right decision leaving behind our stable life and good careers in Singapore to make the move here. We also came here with 2 very young kids so it was extra overwhelming. You can find lots of Singaporean/Asian food/Prima spice packs in the supermarkets here (but around 1.5-2X SG prices). Sometimes even Walmart carries them. Also Costco carries Irvin's 😂 Feel free to connect if you ever wanted to find out more about our immigrant journey, our struggles/joys/and tears

@@phyeeps Heh yes you really have to be super independent and resourceful here. We both have some experience living overseas but it is still challenging. It was also extra hard during covid period! Every time we feel all these doubts creep in and feel defeated and wanna run back to our safety net in Sg. But we always try to remind ourselves on the reasons why we decided to immigrate to keep us going. Things are feeling slightly more settled for us now after 3 years, we have made some friends and feel less alone, and we are looking forward to heading back in 2023 to Sg for a holiday. Feel free to reach out anytime!
