Dear Councillor I am very concerned that our local and nearest defibrillator in our village Belchamp St Paul, (at the local Community House) is not working and has not been working for some time, and despite various attempts to replace the battery, this has not happened. Many concerns have been raised about this and also a general concern about the waste of having many of these devices dotted about in various places and not being used (usually because most people are uncomfortable about using a machine that is not familiar) Is there anything that we can do about this - perhaps organise some training or refresher courses via the various Parish CounciIs? As a retired NHS Health worker, I have in the past been a First Aider at work and am only too aware of the importance of 'first response". To have an accessible defibrillator is such a good community asset but only if it is in working order. Additionally, a named person to contact in an emergency situation would be incredibly useful. I have also noticed that contemporaneous information with regard to defibrillators in the area online is woefully inaccurate. I do feel that there should be an opportunity for training in using the defibrillators and if this was in place, it may help with monitoring if the defibrillators are in working order or not. You need to look no further than at children's services and the family court, to see where the misappropriation of funds has been unnecessary thrown away. When you employ social workers who make unprofessional comments about certain demographics, such as Scottish people, with two other social workers present, (one of which who is a team manager), condoning the comment by laughing. They then try to cover it up, by not recalling such comments being made, then that's a problem. Individuals such as this, are wrongfully given positions of trust, where they cant help themselves but lie and exaggerate to further their agenda. Pushing for a care order by lying and exaggerating, costing the tax payer 10's of 1000's of pounds is the reason why local authorities are in the red.

Hi, we are struggling, no money to our name and here I fail to see any difference between your operation here and any other food bank. Apart from the fact that you charge people for the items where they are struggling, which is disgraceful. More to the point, people like myself and my disabled partner are absolutely fed up with people dictating to us what we should eat all because we have no funds. We are people just like you who have certain requirements, dietary needs, but also we like variety and simple like loafs of bread and proper milk, butter, or marge also. We also require sweetness in our diet, not loads of pasta and that horrible red gunk that goes on it, which always seems to be shoved down peoples throats. Furthermore, we want simple British food, not all these Lentils and chickpea rubbish, pulses and very bland boring food. Just because we can't afford to buy food doesn't mean we can't taste what it's like. Bread, cakes and other perishables can go out of date, but wouldn't it be nice to be given that choice? Essex County Council, don't be so damn tight, people pay enough taxes, so get some fridges in so we can eat proper food. All these rich people who tell us what we should eat ought to be made to live on a food parcel for a whole month with no other perks and then tell me you love it…! We want all the trimmings too, while you're stuffing yourselves with your cream cakes coffees and teas. How about doing what the Americans do for their poverty-stricken people, they cook them chickens and lots of other enjoyable hot foods and give out bread, milk and marge etc! I watched this video and didn't see one fridge, it just looked like a foodbank with fees attached, typical council effort.

Doesn’t look very well planned to me, especially Galleys Corner replacement and A12 new interchange. Still someone’s trousering big money for a bodge job. I won’t deny that anything would be an improvement on the current Galleys Corner but this scenario is looking at 10-15 years and it’s bound to cost at least 2x the original budget and run well over on completion date. It’s over complicated, badly conceived and looks to have been done to maximise cost.
