Great video and fully agree with Rio being the greatest city. I would, however, put the people as the top reason above all the others. Where else do you find such kindness and hospitality?

Nice! I was in São Paulo earlier this year and went to many of the places you show in your video. I had no trouble navigating the metro and found it a great inexpensive way to get around.

Have to correct, Walesa became an elected president, but not the first ever. The second republic from 1918 to 1939 had bunch of presidents.

Gdańsk used to be 80-90% German centuries before WW2 (except Poles there were some communities of Dutch, English, Scottish, Jews and Kashubians though), even at the time when it was a part of Polish Kingdom. That was one of the reasons Germany attacked in 1939 r. They wanted to remove Polish troops stationing in the city.

Gdańsk had significant mercantile relations with the Netherlands, England and Scotland. They say it was the only city outside of the British Isles they have been showing Shakespearean plays while the author was still alive. To commemorate it about 10 year ago they established Shakespearean Theatre in Gdańsk. There are also two neighbourhoods called "Old Scots" and "New Scots" as Scottish communities lived there in 16-17 cent. and the names stayed.

Milk Bars are not an invention of communism. The first Milk Bar, an eatery serving vegetarian dishes based on milk, eggs and flour, was opened in Warsaw in 1896 by Stanisław Dłużewski (a dairy farmer and landowner). Milk bars were used by the regime to feed the workers during the communist era because it was very hard to buy something to eat just like that in the shops, and there were no restaurants, pubs or bars in communist countries, either, because we had no entrepreneurs - in a communist country, everything was decided by the state, or rather by one and the best party and its leader; there was no freedom of doing business as we know it today. The food in Milk Bars is not the food that was food during the communist era and survived, but it is our typical Polish dishes prepared in a homemade way (and not, as in restaurants, in an exclusive way for which you have to pay extra).

We brought these Teutonic Knights ourselves. This was done by the Duke of Masovia, Konrad of Mazowiecki, in 1226. He gave them land. The Teutonic Knights were to defend its borders against the pagan Prussians. The Teutonic Knights quickly became enemies of the entire country. Poland's history is very crazy. 😉

If you care about internal state structure (system) in Bosnia and Herzegovina, you should read our Constitution (of BiH). Bosnia is one of the oldest countries in Europe and was part of Ottoman and Austro-Hungarian empire, as it was the whole region back then. Bosnia gain its independence in 1992.after people decided they don't want to live in Yugoslavia anymore. Then, Serbia attacked Bosnia and hell broke lose. Because our neighbours always wanted part of our country, we can't move ahead, we're stuck in '90 of 20st century. here is the link for Bosnia's Constitution www.ohr.int/ohr-dept/legal/laws-of-bih/pdf/001%20-%20Constitutions/BH/BH%20CONSTITUTION%20.pdf

Raffles founded Singapore but it was William Farquhar who was the Resident here for about 5 years, during which, Raffles returned to Singapore for barely 8 months. Raffles (grandiosely) declared that Singapore was a "Free Port", and left Farquhar to managed the growth and development of the city WITHOUT any revenue from port taxes! Farquhar needed money to build roads, clear (650000 sq yards) of jungle, maintain a police force, dredge the Rochor River, etc. So how did he managed? He sold alcohol and opium licences. So the pricey beers and cocktails? Raffles fault! He forced Farquhar to introduce alcohol licences to fund the building of the city. So... why isn't Farquhar more well-known? Why aren't there Farquhar Hotel, or Farquhar Place, or Farquhar Road? Well, how do you pronounce "Farquhar"? (But seriously, Raffles was a dick to Farquhar.)
