Nice work .. upvoting it Came here after you thought I might lose all my fingers in shed overclocking experiment with a large fan ! Don't worry, the physics stops it happening. Nice to see a fellow shed person doing funky videos ! Happy Christmas.

Wow! I recall wondering wtf they were up to, turning something that was perfectly 'nice' into what appeared to be a lifeless, soul-free, concrete eyesore of an area until, over time, it kind of made sense that it was becoming more functional, enabling it to become more suited to holding events and so on, eventually developing some degree of character as it began to weather in. Blimey, one of my longest sentences ever without a full stop. Must do it more often. There! Impressive piece of footage, btw, which I just discovered by chance - thank you!

I used to love Wimpy back in the early 80s. The food came served on proper plates and was really tasty. I remember the one in Bristol giving away Playmobil figures with children's meals

Im searching now for years for a pinout for those fans? Do you have one or know how to connect them? Thanks a lot

Cyrill! I've only managed to power it up with just the mains input, but I have absolutely no control over it, what I want to do is tame it with a PWM signal or control signal of some kind, PWM from a RPi would be great, anyway the pinout is here on PAPST's AU site: img.ebmpapst.com/products/manuals/K3G180AC4007-BA-ENU.pdf - unfortunately nobody at PAPST was able to figure out what "speed input" and "control input" actually means :( If you have better luck than me I'd love to know if it's possible to control these with PWM! Thanks

I'm not familiar with small diesel engines, but this is not at all something odd for full size diesels. They require heat and pressure to combust the fuel, so until the engine is warm, it's normal to have this type of issue.

My 1.8 focus Tdci used to do this! chuffing blue smoke, and chugging. I also had a loud diesel knock on very cold mornings! was a combination of a blocked egr valve, and the wrong oil! According to Ford, Small independant garages tend to use 10/40oil in everything, and ford diesels are very sensitive to the wrong oil. they like synthetic oil, 5/30 or 5/40. The oil leaks through the valve seals, collects in the cylinder, then causes smokey poor starting.

Thanks for your info, its worth noting that the water was not from the exhaust, i think it had been a damp night so it was from the dew. Problem is, if I go spending £1,200 on 4 new injectors, what happens if it doesnt fix the problem? it's starting fairly well with the milder weather now.

I think, that the white smoke means injector failure. The black smoke means not enough oxygen. And the blue smoke means turbo.

Smoke ruins DPF in exhaust. TDCI diesels suffer from failing injectors. U can have em tested on the car, plug into diagnostics and fire each injector in turn, they all should have a sharp clatter, if dull then thats it. Ir it could be air in fuel system. I suggest u get it plugged in and do diagnostic if ur worried. Or just run it until it wont start?!
