Can confirm that this is a thing. As the boyfriend of the user posting this, we can't stand but to try. My boyfriend (this user) can hold the crazy long note, and I thought Casey was an alien when I first heard this version of the song. Apparently people can do it. IDK if you'll see this, but OP, can you reiterate the story behind this? I tried to tell him but was probably inaccurate.

I wish more people would actually take my suggestions for talented artists more seriously and would want to listen to what I think is a fantastic experience to listen. His voice alone brings so much power and emotion and it's almost like you are living the tale within the Acts. This artist will always be my favorite artist of all time.

Looks like it. Looks like he's taking the same chord shape without (many?) open frets and sliding up the neck to hit different chords in the scale.

The beginning part are diatonic sixths and the chords look like a E7 sus to E7. He wraps his thumb around to mute the low E though, creating a pedal with the 5th.

I dont think anyone would really say his guitar playing is amazing, it is rather average. But his vocal delivery, lyrical genius and musical composition, is off the charts.

People need to understand it makes no sense to compare this. His guitar sklls are the best for the kind of music he is writing. He does not shred or play power chords in 250 BPM becuase he CHOOSES NOT TO, not because he is "bad at guitarL. Get it through your skulls, people.

Correct me if im wrong but from what I remember years back is his mom is or was an opera singer. Makin momma proud? Anyways I miss when he was in t.r.e.o.s, yuh nuhh . . The receiving end of sirens. Treos also said for singers which it was. Man it broke my heart when he left.
