2 years on II (AC) Sqn, 10 years 54 (F) Sqn. Best time of my life. Andy Cubin was a great pilot. Always had time for the groundcrew.

Andy Lloyd Cubin, dirty child sex pest what a sad little excuse for a man, hope you end up in prison how many children did you have on your computer you sex case?
Excellent video, well presented. Thank you. This is an early airframe, initially delivered to 226 OCU at Lossiemouth I believe. I was there in 1974 as the Jags were being brought into service. I was fortunate to go from Lossie to Coltishall with 54 Sqn, the first operational Jag squadron. As groundcrew, our training emphasized the fact that the Jaguar was designed for ease of servicing, a fact that I became acutely aware of on a subsequent tour on F4 Phantoms!!

I had the privilege to see Jaguar force at Coningsby prior to disposal after Coltishall closed. The last front line RAF jet flown by the seat of your pants.

That’s because these guys trained relentlessly to fight a war against the Soviet Bloc, the threat was real and ever present. Today’s fast jet pilots have no idea what that is like, they’ve had no actual adversary for 30 years, they believe their own hype.

I suspect it was because back then they were very, very drunk whereas now the crews are busy all the time. Does no one read the news?
