The actor playing the prosecuting barrister is the same actor who played King Henry VII in "The Shadow of the Tower".

My Mum was the image of Margaret Lockwood. She told me that on several occasions, a stranger approached her and said, "Please may I have your autograph Miss Lockwood?"

Enjoying this series! Is anyone else sick and tired of Dr. Ian Moody? C'mon there are other interesting men, dump the prig. 🤣🤣

Who will she marry? Oh, the drama continues. I think we need a third guy to appear and sweep her off her feet. These two chaps are, in their own ways, somewhat annoying. 🤣🤣🤣

40:50 - A lovely joke here, when the judge shouts to his assistant "Raymond!" - when in fact the actor playing this judge was the wonderful Raymond Huntley.

This was Philip Stone's first appearance in Justice as John Gallaher as it was first written, before it was changed to Gallagher in later episodes. He would appear in 17 out of the 39 episodes. He didn't appear at all in the last series, series three.

I love that Woodward plays it straight here until the last minute or so.

29:50 - I love how in this show, actors bounce around playing different characters, with no sense of continuity. This actor in series two played a judge in the high court of appeal and now he is here in a very different role.

7:41 - "M87"?? No such motorway exists, certainly not back in 1971. There is M80 and that is the closest you get to a M87.

The stiff wig Harriet wore was most unflattering. As she aged, it would have been better to have a softer hair style/or wig. I suppose it was the fashion.

Justice Bebbington seems like a repressed gay man. There were many like him around in the 1970s. Unmarried and not keen on women, which is why he refused to back Harriet when she wanted to become a QC (take silk). The throwaway line here at 8:14 seems to sum it up "I find relationships with women difficult".
