does anyone have any actual confirmation of their trees regrowing from leaving the stump
@SparkyMamaGamesАй бұрын
I tend to not leave stumps unless I want the tree there for looks. So I've only noticed a few regrow. I'll take note of the stumps I've left and capture a before and after.

It has been a while, at least 3 months, since I have played this game. Had already started and end-gamed two thriving settlements and the routine was getting a tad boring. By then I had kids all over the place getting into all sorts of dangerous areas, if the game was more like life. Had all the homes improved as much as the game would allow, and was getting tired of running back and forth into the town/capital. Without more game development, I couldn't see a purpose in repeating the same activities for another game year. Ended up getting the newer Dinosaur game and been learning what is good and bad about it.
@SparkyMamaGamesАй бұрын
Same. It would get repetitive with the limited options. Hopefully you will return after the next big update this year. 😊 Which dinosaur game is this? 🤔
@wastedwattsАй бұрын
@@SparkyMamaGames Yes, I would very likely give my settlements another go if they advanced the programming enough. One thing that I am waiting for is fortifications, like castles and such. The Dinosaur game is ARK, now in its newer version called ARK Survival Ascended. The prior version is still available and many of my past friends still play ARK survival evolved. The catch is the first game is no longer updated with fixes for some very old problems that are also problems in the newer version. To play either game one has to have a high tolerance for "early access" games and ARK is a clear example of games that never come out of early access problems, but they are addictive. Who doesn't want to tame, ride, get killed by, escape meat eating dinosaurs, monster snakes, and killer bugs?

To be clear, I laugh because I also refer to it as it is. I have very strange feelings about playing as a virtual "God" to NPC's and the few dialogue and moral options I'm left with within games. As a queer player, I'm frequently baffled by dialogue and moral dilemmas written by and for male audiences. Like, "I wouldn't even consider or do or say ANY of this!?" Just some unasked for opening on my experience playing a genre of game I love playing, but otherwise find morally alarming half the time.
@SparkyMamaGamesАй бұрын
Sometimes games are as they are, meant to be simple, fun, entertaining, a way to be a character in a new world. But taken deeper, and things could get dark very quickly. Recent games have taken on an interesting aspect of the moral dilemma. Sometimes you're just in the back seat along for the ride doing what the character is made to do in the situation. And other times, given a choice, but a limited one at that doesn't align with what you may want as a player. I feel like most management games have this feeling of playing God.

“Things I wish I knew sooner” (proceeds to waste 7 minutes of our time explaining self explanatory settings in a pause menu that literally have what they are in the name) Really trying to grow that channel eh?
@SparkyMamaGamesАй бұрын
I tend to start my games on default and skip settings. I wish I knew what was available sooner. There's a Medieval Dynasty wiki with majority of the information I talk about, but many people like to watch or listen to a video on KZbin instead. Each to their own. Thanks for watching 😊

So u cant wipe the taxes nd pay nothing
@SparkyMamaGames2 ай бұрын
Didnt think about that. I haven't tried yet, I'll add it to the list. But theoretically if you adjust the taxes to 0%, if possible, you'll pay nothing, or minimal.
@archerdavidson60662 ай бұрын
@@SparkyMamaGames yeah i was re organizing my town and making it look like a town and not a cramped mess and since u cant openly move stuff in game i had to destroy everything and rebuild it. And rebuilding it doubled my tax rates sadly

Does walking across planks ever move them or cause any jankiness? They just stay in place forever basically?
@SparkyMamaGames2 ай бұрын
They stay in place unless moved by another object when placing another object. There can be moments when the plank may vibrate on the ground, but it should settle into place eventually. 🙃 So far, no jankiness, unless there's a gap, your characters leg maybe go through and touch the ground. Also, npcs will potentially ghost through some of your creations because apparently they don't abide by the same physics. 😆

What happens if you put taxes to 10%?
@SparkyMamaGames2 ай бұрын
It should decrease the base amount to 10%. If a building cost 10 coin per year, 10% should be 1 coin. 💰 Just remember the base amount changes with each development and throughout different buildings. Increasing development level will cause your 10% tax value to increase as well. Hope that makes sense.
@whitesquirrel41312 ай бұрын
i leave tons of coin in the storehouse and no one touches it, they take all the axes though, and everyone dresses better than me anyone runs out of anything they don't bother themselves to fetch or handle, they call me just who is the slave here
@SparkyMamaGames2 ай бұрын
Okay, lets call them a bunch of mindless children. All dependant on your hard work. 🤣
@azhockeynut82972 ай бұрын
For your first resource storage, it can fill up fast, rather than build a second one you can just leave heavier items on the floor. Though your people cannot access them you can, so items like sticks, stones, logs, planks etc. if you have a ton you can place 75+% on the floor giving you more room to store things your people need and still keeping the things you need for future upgrades available. Spoilage, nah, build a composter or two right away, put excess cabbage and meat etc in there, go grab a ton of un-ripened berries, or regular berries and fill up the composter, even mushrooms you name it. That makes real cheap fertilizer free from the Rot fast and you get a task you can assign a barn worker in winter, or you can take the skill points yourself. Early on I take the first winter and pile up sticks and stones near my house, easier to find then. I can use them for new builds or I can dump sticks in each house's storage and they will use them for fires if the firewood runs low, sort of a safety valve.
@SparkyMamaGames2 ай бұрын
Nice addition. Yes, a great way to use unripened berrys. Stockpiling in winter is good, maintaining fuel and preparing for spring building.

Does the Wood shed's proximity to trees actually not matter? I thought that having the wood shed among numerous trees helped increase yield, maybe even the type of tree mattered I thought.. Also my favorite Villager name so far has been Bozebor.
@SparkyMamaGames2 ай бұрын
The woodsheds proximity doesn't matter. The daily yield is dependent on skill, mood, and weather. Bozebor 🤣

You can move the door. You have to replace the door with a wall, so the house no longer has a door. Then you can change any single wall to the new door and the house will rearrange itself to match the new door position.

Thanks, will give that a try. Worth it if you want to rotate the house.
