You don't need any stabilisation on wider angle lenses, it really serves no purpose, adding I.s to a lens slightly degrades image quality, only useful for longer focal lengths. These cameras are fantastic photography tools, video is a secondary function, Manual focus is no use for random video's, only serves a purpose in a controlled environment.. eg marking where people are or will be etc, best tool for video is a point and shoot with a rolling shutter

Shouldn’t affect… maybe the export settings? But there is no post-processing to the video

How sensitive is this to the jello effect? If fuji could figure out how to fix that that would be great. That is the most important thing, camcorders have rolling shutter CMOS too and they are not as sensative. Also increase bitrate to 50mbps maybe and add manual focus during video. I'd like to see an x100v for video.
@AlexCican11 жыл бұрын
yeah, that would be awesome. Although my hunch is that they're focusing more on photo and don't want to enter the video recording "game".
@inprogress937 жыл бұрын
Keep shutter speed as low as possible, 1/48 would be fine. Use ND filters to reduce incoming light hence reducing shutter speed. And finally use stabilizers like gimbals. This video shows why ;)

Never use NR, just switch it off. the files on the X100s are pretty clean up to ISO 4000, - I agree on the flash settings, they could have at least allowed flash settings to be set to the Fn button - the battery/card insert thing - well, you only do it wrong once or twice, then it becomes second nature which way they go in - The charger simply stops glowing when it's full - You didn't mention one of the best things about the camera - it can sync at any speed up to 1/4000 with off camera flash.

Yeah, I discovered that the light turns off once charging is done a few days after this video. However you still don’t know how much of the battery has been charged at any given time… I won’t give up on it. I like this camera a lot. It’s very fun to use. Thanks Hoc.
@hocly2211 жыл бұрын
The charger stops going green when it is done charging. The camera autofocuses in good light like a champ, low light = almost same speed as X100 Deleting the image like this once you get used to it speeds things up quite a bit Other than that, I liked the video, I think this is a great camera, if you get used to it and learn its quirks (like I had to for my old X100) it becomes an extrodinary camera. Love it, dont give up on it =]

I like the "random" shots cause they show the surroundings of the garden.. Even the dry fields outside of it show that not everything is rotten, the garden of Eden is vivid. The sun illuminates that garden and the clouds make it look moody. The dog reflects the happiness you feel in that garden. And the cage which is in the garden opposes the joy. And shooting the tap even if it's not natural you automatically think of water which is vital for a beautiful garden. Just lovely!

try doing one with the places you think they worth in Nicosia. I'm pretty sure this is the best time lapse of Nicosia and I've been searching to find a similar one for other places in different countries but I didn't and I was so disappointed. I guess this type of time lapse is more appealing nowadays and the music fits totally with the style, doesn't mean it's a good song.
