I think season pass 1 will focus on popular characters that aren't in the base game. I'm thinking someone like Orihime, White, Hisagi and maybe Aareonnino as Kaien. Pass 2 would probably come out around the same time as cour 4 and might focus on characters that are relevant in TYBW without being exclusive to that arc. Could be something like Isshin, Ukitake, Unohana and Harribel (though I wouldn't be surprised if she was in the main roster).

Square Enix would rather put money towards crappy live service games, crappy mobile games, and DEI initiatives.

I can see them adding the Fullbringers as the story mode is up to and including the Arrancar Arc. Unless they add the Lost Agent Arc later or TYBW, we won't see them

I think fullbring is unlikely, considering they may come out with an expansion for rebirth of souls.

I think this season pass should have at least 6 characters. This game will have at least 2 seasons, so we can be 100% sure (I think there would still be room for a third), we will certainly have a second game, the bloody thousand year war has about 30 more characters to be placed in the game.

I feel like they're gone wait for a sequel for the 1000 year blood war characters or at least not pump the dlc full of them l8oe I think they might do 1 full bringer character, 1 1000 bw character and than 2 characters that didn't make the base roster you could argue why not just put them in the base roster especially if there missing big names I'm mainly thinking about orihime if she's nit in base game people will get angry and when she comes as dlc she will sell like crazy even to people who might not have bought or cared for her otherwise

The way that I see it. The 4 main areas for DLC have pros and cons going for them imo. Fullbring Arc: I’d say characters from this arc are guaranteed to be DLC, but people are huffing a little Copium to say that every Fullbringer will be DLC. I think Ginjo, Tsukishima, Riruka and Fullbring Shikai to Bankai Ichigo are the most likely DLC. Ginjo and Tsukishima are the most important arc antagonists, Riruka has the Waifu factor, and Fullbring Shikai to Bankai Ichigo should be playable to make the arc’s story work (Though he can be costume possibily? The move where he swings Zangetsu by the wrappings in Shikai which he doesn’t have in his Fullbring Shikai makes me think otherwise). I don’t think they’d be a single pack, it would smarter to sprinkle them around DLC pack with more hype characters (like TYBW ones). Fullbring Ichigo with the white suit will probably be playable in the story and Yukio, Jackie, Giriko and Moe are too irreverent/unpopular to warrant spots. Movies: While I wouldn’t be against some Movie love, mostly for popular characters like Senna, Dark Rukia or Kokuto. But let’s be honest, most of the characters exclusive to these movies aren’t carrying hype and i can’t see them selling well for DLC. Like honestly do y’all think the dude from Diamond Dust Rebellion would be DLC at this point 🗿 CFYOW and SAFWY Novels: Personally I’m dying to be able to play as characters like Roka Paramia or the Past Kenpachis or Tokinada or Aura or hell the “Beyond Bankai/Resurreccion” characters from Brave Souls. But the simple fact that these novels aren’t animated while TYBW is just means that most people have no idea who da fuck these characters are 😂. It would be a hard sell for people who are just getting into Bleach. For what it’s worth, all of the prominent characters from the novels have voices curtesy of their appearance in Brave Souls…but I just don’t see it until the two novels get animated adaptations. TYBW: Another area of guaranteed DLC characters, but as for the who I’ve made this clear before. Until they prove us otherwise, I think that any characters that existed before TYBW began that gained new powers such as Ichigo, Rukia, Renji, Kenpachi, etc. will simply be costumes as they can save them for a future sequel to bring more hype. And similarly I think anything related to Cour 4 material is likely off the table: Soul King Yhwach, Horn of Salvation, all of that. However characters that were newly introduced during the first 3 Cours I think are fair game. Base Yhwach with the Almighty, any of the Sternritters and Squad Zero are new enough and hype enough to draw people in while staying relevant. As for Burn the Witch, if it’s next animated adaptation comes out anytime soon then that’s a gigantic MAYBE.

Or they can just put popular characters that weren't necessarily to tell the story, aka anyone that doesn't fights Ichigo. For example, the top 3 espadas. Would it be a dick move? Kinda, but it would make the dlc sell well. A fullbring character like Ginjo or Tsukishima too, but what tybw character would they put? Yhwach or Ichigo I guess, or Yamamoto. As far as other Sternritters I can't think of one that is that popular to be sold as dlc

Seeing as they may include one character from the Fullbring arc as you suggested, it's 100% going to be GInjo. Awakening is his ichigo enhanced form and his reawakening is his bankai.

Honestly ALL fighters should be unlocked on story mode and be available on release, we pay for a full game for god sake. It's some bulls*** we have to pay for characters. I hate this model in modern gaming. I'd rather they made a sequel focused on the FullBring and the TYBW arcs with a new and improved combat.

I think its fair to expect some less important characters (as playable anyway) to be DLC, im not sure on orihime but she could be an example. But i think harribel has a big chance to be dlc imo, has sex appeal so it makes sence to be purchaseable and isnt AS relevant in the story, so if they didnt find time to add her in it wouldnt be a mayor loss

I could see them adding unohana as dlc considering her fight was so short in the tybw. Her role was only to help kenpachi unlock his limits so adding her doesn't really feel like something that they have to wait for to add in rebirth of souls 2

As a fan since the beginning, I'm am literally at a point where I just don't care about Kingdom Hearts anymore. The amount of time we had to wait for 3 was an absolute joke, but we were still getting games. I didn't like most of the Side games that are canon, but they were fully fledged titles in their own right. Then the 2010s era happened and whilst dry as hell, they kept us going somewhat with the HD Remixes. At this point though there's nothing keeping me going, I'm not invested enough in the story to even pay it any mind these days and the thing I play KH for, the gameplay; isn't producing anything either because they keep giving us gambling simulators on the phone... I understand that games take time, but I'm at a point where the constant droughts just kill any interest I have in this series anymore. I think the thing that annoys me the most is that it's easily rectifiable: Just give us actual Remakes of Xchi/dark road etc in the KH3 engine to tie us over. It makes these games stories actually accessible in an engaging way, and we'd actually have something to play other than the games we've already played to death over this last decade; it's a win win yet they refuse to pull the trigger.

I really hope that the climbers will include characters, I'm thinking of shinji's band. more arancar.

"Maybe they should rethink their business strategy..." Look, I get it, it sucks to have to wait so long. But it is a successful business strategy. If anyone were to adopt it Square Enix is one of the big ones. Look at Rockstar. One of the biggest developers in the world. We got GTA V in 2013. Red Dead 2 in 2018, and then GTA VI in 2025. It's just how long giant modern games need to be made, and releasing just bits and pieces here and there keeps the fan base interested and craving more. While it sucks from the consumer point of view, it works really well for the business side as long as you have a giant brand(s) that people are heavily invested in and will always come back to when the time is right. In this case Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy.

I pretty much block Kingdom Hearts 4 out of my mind, it doesn't exist to me until they put out a release date trailer.

Maybe Disney (based on the current status) is trying desperately not to make KH4 more LGTBQ much like with their recent disney films like Turning Red as an example, also to avoid making a mockery of the franchise
