I’ve noticed that in your own videos the blower has the small diameter safety bars removed from the front of the blower. I’ve always thought those bars would be nothing but trouble in all but the lightest & fluffiest snow. I’m not knocking Yarbo as I’ve had many snowblowers through the yeast and all have struggled when the snow get wet or very heavy.

Hi there, thanks for reaching out! You're right! The protection fence can slightly affect snow clearing efficiency, especially in tougher conditions. For best performance: If you're dealing with wet snow, hard-packed snow, or snow exceeding 3 inches in depth, removing the protection fence can help the Snow Blower perform better. However, please note: Operating without the protection fence does come with increased risks. We always recommend monitoring Yarbo closely during operation to ensure safety. And for the wet snow, we do recommand you to use the snow plow to handle wet snow. For wet snow, snow plow has been tested and proven to be the best solution last winter! If you have any other questions or need assistance, feel free to reach out to our support team at [email protected]!

It's great to see the pathing. I hope the turn arounds get smoother, but the straights look very good. From this angle, it looks like the grass is getting pushed out of the way and not actually cut. When it turns around and comes back it looks like the previous path still had grass long enough to knock over again.
@yarboglobal
@yarboglobal 23 сағат бұрын
Hi there, thanks for reaching out! We’re glad to hear that you like the pathing. Regarding the turning mode, Yarbo uses a smart turn by default, which prioritizes grass protection over speed. This may cause the turn to seem slower. As for the grass, it’s possible that it may appear pushed due to the mower’s movement and the lawn's condition, weed cover, but rest assured, it is being cut efficiently. We’re constantly working on optimizing the process to make it even better and will upload more unedited mowing videos to better showcase Yarbo's mowing capacities! If you have any other questions or suggestions, feel free to reach out!

@@yarboglobal If you're taking requests, I'm looking forward to more snow blower videos as we kick into winter. Does it handle zones? I have a driveway that's probably what it can handle with a small amount of snow, but with a big storm it'll take a few days to clear out. Can I tell Yarbo to prioritize Zone 1 and 2 (the main driveway and in front of one garage bay)? And then later have it work through other zones? Should I expect Yarbo to handle 50% of what my plow driver does? 90%? 100%? If I'm buying just a mower, I think the 2 of the Mammotion Luba 2 is my best bet. But if 1 Yarbo can handle 5 acres of grass (and I'm not 100% sure of that yet) plus snow blow a significant part of my paved driveway, that's what I should buy next summer.

Thank you for this information. I look forward to trying out all of the different turning modes for my lawn. May I suggest an additional turning technique. When I cut my grass I try to avoid turns, just like Yarbo, but I still like parallel lines back and forth which show a nice pattern on the lawn. To accomplish this with minimal turns, I cut one line to its end and then turn either left or right and skip one or more paths for the return. With this, I can do a large arc between the paths I'm cutting knowing that I will return to the other paths that we left uncut earlier in the job and still cut them in the correct direction to give me my pattern lines. Such a turning mode would allow Yarbo to press onwards with a smooth arc cut which I suspect would be faster than the smart turn and still less harsh on the grass as the Zero Turn. Thanks.

Thank you VERY MUCH for answering these questions! The ability to solve paths with this machine is wonderful. I'd suggest that some clarification on "dead end" pathing should be demonstrated at some point, even though it is a niche feature. There are some very steep inclines, such as with a ditch, creek, pond or lake, where the dead-end solves a lot of problems. Specifically, consider addressing the the problem of losing your Core to a 5 foot drop, or 3 feet of water on a steep ditch, river or pond embankment. My current Luba2's mowing perimeter is about 2 or 3 feet above a ditch edge, because it slides down most of that distance when turning around *if the grass is dry*. Once the dew-point hits and the grass becomes wet, I do not mow that section because it would simply slide over the edge while turning. I can't wait to put my Yarbo to work when it gets here. Cheers!

Hi there, thanks for your suggestion! Your suggestion about demonstrating "dead end" pathing is excellent, especially for those challenging areas like steep inclines near ditches or water bodies. Addressing the risks of losing the core in those situations could definitely be valuable for users facing similar challenges. Once you get your Yarbo, I’d love to hear how it performs in those tricky spots!

@yarboglobal
@yarboglobal 4 күн бұрын
Hi there, we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. Please know that Yarbo is committed to putting our users first. The term “starting delivery” has been used because we produce, ship, and deliver in a rolling sequence based on the order placement date. Orders placed before August will begin delivery in October. Given the extended period from May (the start of the Yarbo 2024 campaign) to August, we received a high volume of orders. To prioritize fairness, Kickstarter backers are given priority, leading to a sequential delivery process. This is why October is the “start” of deliveries, rather than a completion date. We hope this clarifies our process and we appreciate your understanding.

Are the batteries going to reduce in price? So often batteries are so expensive that most people ditch the battery operated tool for a new tool/battery due to high cost of replacement battery.
@yarboglobal
@yarboglobal 9 күн бұрын
Hi there, thanks for sharing your concern! Yes, the batteries are likely to reduce in price over time. We assure you that as demand increases, the price of the replacement battery will definitely decrease in the future. No worries, through! Yarbo battery comes with a two-year warranty and is rated to retain over 80% of its original capacity for 500 full discharge and charge cycles. Its lifespan can be extended further with optimized charging behavior. The 500 full discharge cycles rule is a general guideline for most lithium-ion batteries. Similar to your phone, you can extend the battery's lifespan by avoiding full discharge to 0% and full charge to 100%. By default, Yarbo limits the battery's capacity to 80%, even though it will show as fully charged, to ensure the battery's health. As Yarbo batteries mostly use 20% to 80% charge and discharge modes, so the number of rechargeable times is much greater than 500 cycles, potentially reaching between 800 to 1000 times. Even after more than 500 full 0%-100% charge and discharge cycles, the battery will still work. Sure, it might not perform like new (think 80% instead of 100%), but it’ll still remain usable. The overall service life of the battery can reach 3-5 years. Performance in the last one or two years will not be as good as the first two years, which is normal, just like mobile phone batteries. I hope this helps ease your worries a bit! Thank you for bringing this to my attention! If you have any more questions or need further information, please feel free to ask.

I have an existing RTK base station for other devices that I use on my property. I have a few questions... 1. Can the Yarbo RTK base station be calibrated with its exact installation location so that it provides calibrated correction data rather than just relative correction data? 2. Is the data center HaLow wireless acting as a repeater (bridge) for the upstream LAN or is it running an isolated network with separate IP addresses (data center is a router)? 3. Can the RTK correction stream be accessed by other devices? (I'd prefer to not need two RTK base stations covering the same property) 4. Can other IOT devices equipped with HaLow radios connect to the data center HaLow network? (One HaLow network for all on-property devices that only need low speed connectivity and RTK streak access would be preferable). 5. What POE class is the data center, how many watts? 6. Will there be support for Yarbo to use an existing RTK correction stream (NTRIP, LoRA Serial, etc) and the customer's own HaLow or even Wifi network if they already have them built out with proper coverage?
@yarboglobal
@yarboglobal 7 күн бұрын
Hi there, thanks for your interest in Yarbo! The RTK correction stream is one to one binding with Yarbo, meaning it cannot be accessed by other devices. Additionally, IOT devices with HaLow radios cannot connect to the data center's HaLow network. Watching this video, I noticed that at least one of the components (track tensioner) looks like it is made of aluminum and it appears that the fasteners being used are stainless. Can you confirm the materials used? Perhaps this is all stainless steel and I'm mistaken, but if it not this will absolutely be a problem over time. Aluminum isn't galvanically compatible with stainless steel and the aluminum will corrode at the interface between the two, especially in the presence of moisture. Considering the environment this will be subjected to, especially in winter with both water and potentially salt, its an extremely harsh set of conditions. IF this is aluminum, It really should be type 2 anodized and the fasteners that thread into it need to be mild steel instead of stainless to help reduce corrosion potential. If I'm wrong and its all stainless, I applaud the excellent eye towards developing something that will have absolutely no problems with the elements it needs to operate in.

There are GPS repeaters that can be used to bring the GPS signal into a building such as a garage or shed. Have you tested Yarbo with any of these units?
@JayWozz
@JayWozz 12 күн бұрын
GPS repeaters would not work for this scenario. When using a GPS repeater, the target device (Yarbo Core in this case) always interprets its position as the position of the repeater's antenna. This means that, once Yarbo Core gets close enough to the GPS repeater, it will think it jumped to the position of the repeater and then think it's no longer moving.
@yarboglobal
@yarboglobal 8 күн бұрын
Hi there, thanks for asking! In the United States, the use of GPS repeaters is strictly regulated by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). The FCC has strict regulations on the use of this equipment, mainly to prevent interference with GPS signals, because the GPS signal is very weak and satellite signals from space themselves are susceptible to interference. And it's not feasible for Yarbo either, it will not work with our RTK system: Suppose you are using a GPS repeater in an underground garage. The GPS signals received by the devices in the garage are forwarded through the repeater antenna installed outside the ground. Therefore, the GPS device will identify its current location as the repeater's antenna location (the ground location outside) rather than the device's actual location in the underground garage. In summary, the GPS repeater does not allow the device to "recalculate" the actual indoor position, but extends the coverage of the satellite signal. The device will display the outdoor location of the repeater antenna, which is useful in certain scenarios, such as a test environment or enabling the device to receive GPS signals. This should be installed so that you can navigate indoors, but this GPS repeater actually displays the coordinates of the outdoor antenna, which is still blind indoors. Thank you for reaching out and if you have more question or need further information, please feel free to ask!

Hi there, thank you for your feedback! While Yarbo doesn't collect cuttings, it maintains your lawn regularly by cutting just a few inches at a time. The fine clippings fall into the soil, decompose naturally, and act as a natural fertilizer-this process is called micro-mulching. Yarbo can handle grass heights from 1.2 to 4 inches. If the grass exceeds 4 inches, we recommend mowing in small amounts frequently. This prevents the buildup of large amounts of grass clippings, which can damage your lawn, and allows the small clippings to gradually decompose and provide nutrients to the lawn. Plus, the Yarbo lawn mower can tackle slopes up to 70% (about 35°), so it handles most hills with ease. Thanks again for your comment and if you need any further info, please don't hesitate to reach out!

So do you have to use a remote control? If so it doesn’t save any time
@yarboglobal
@yarboglobal 15 күн бұрын
Hi there! Thank you for reaching out! Yarbo is a fully autonomous smart robot that takes care of mowing the lawn and clearing snow without the need for remote control. After setting it up, you can connect your Yarbo to the Yarbo app to map your work plan, adjust settings, and schedule work times at your convenience. Yarbo can be operated using a phone, tablet, or computer, and we provide the necessary software for remote control. For example, if your father needs help starting an autonomous plan, you can log into the Yarbo app and run the plan for him from anywhere. If you prefer more hands-on management, you can still control it through the app or a remote controller. I hope this answers your concerns. If you have any other questions, please share your name and email, and our service team will get back to you shortly! You can also reach us at [email protected], and one of our team members will respond soon. Thank you for your interest and support! Don't forget to follow Yarbo on Facebook (facebook.com/yarboglobal) for the latest updates and feel free to ask if you have more questions!

Hi there, thanks for your comment! The Yarbo lawn mower can tackle slopes up to 70% (that’s about 35°), so it handles most hills with ease. In this video, we’re really showcasing Yarbo’s awesome Torsion-flex Mower Frame, which is perfect for any terrain. It lets the flexible front-mount deck follow the ground contour, ensuring a precise cut from the top to the bottom of slopes while keeping your lawn height consistent. Thanks again for your interest in Yarbo! Stay tuned for more videos of Yarbo climbing hills!

I would use it to blow lawn clippings off of my driveway after each mowing. Rear mount would be good for that. Also, in the fall to round up lots of leaves into a pile or into rows for mulching and bagging. Programming would need lots of flexibility to turn off at certain times and then turn back on or lower/increase power. For example, when turning a corner. Even using my gas mower to blow leaves into a pile has challenges when turning corners. It messes everything up. So having some control of the blower would help in those situations. Fall is here soon so there should be lots of leaves to experiment with and learn how this tool will be used in the real world. Clearing the driveway of lawn clippings is easy.

Hi there, thanks for sharing your detailed thoughts! You’ve got some great ideas about how Yarbo could be even more useful for tasks like clearing driveways and managing leaves in the fall. We're actively working on improving our programming to offer more flexibility for users, including control of power levels and settings for different tasks, just as you mentioned. Your feedback is invaluable as we continue to develop these features, and we’re excited to see how Yarbo will perform in real-world scenarios like yours. Stay tuned, and feel free to share any more thoughts or suggestions!

Hi there, thanks for your comment! Actually, all of our footage is unedited and uncut. We just combine multiple clips for convenience so viewers can see more in one go. As for the automatic programming for the blower, we’re actively working on designing and developing that feature. Stay tuned for updates! Do you have any specific topics or features you'd like to see us cover in future videos? We'd love to hear your suggestions!

@@yarboglobal Thank you for the reply! Be aware that most people watch the above video thinking that the unit is automated when leaf blowing. For future videos, I am curious about how the software / pathing will manage things that are difficult: Some mowing topics - Many of us have a ditch along one edge of our property, and a steep incline leading to it that needs to be cut. The Yarbo attempting to turn around on the incline would result in it sliding down the incline during the turn, which is high risk because of the ditch below it. Does the software provide a pathing option that'd iteratively send it straight down the incline, and reverse it straight back for each cutting lane? Or something similar. Like a "yo-yo". If so, that would be a wonderful demonstration video. Similarly, we also have narrow areas that are only a lane or two wide, effectively a dead-end leading to a door, gate, garden or flowerbed. Turning around won't work. Please show your expectation for mowing such a feature. A quick video showing how robust the cutting motors and waterproofings are with regard to oddly shaped sticks and sharp thorns / prickers getting above the cutting disks, and your expectation of how much risk we can take with regard to that. Similarly, how does the unit manage one or more cutting motors being overwhelmed, both transiently, and long term obstruction. Snow blowing topics - Our township has plow trucks, and they make a nice dense plow bank at the end of everyone's driveway from the snow on the road. Please show your expectation for how the Yarbo will tackle such a plow bank. Similar to the mower, above, show your expectation of how to manage a "dead end" walkway when there isn't enough width for the Yarbo to turn around. All Yarbo snowblowing videos show great results on driveways, but it appears that none of the people in those videos own a vehicle. Perhaps make a video of your expectation of how two or more vehicles in a driveway should be handled, with some footage of that strategy in action. You don't even need any snow for this, just show the pathing and strategy. Note that "park in the street" is not an option, as most people will have plow banks that only a 4wd truck can get through, nevermind that on-street parking is generally prohibited during plow-truck season, and nevermind that anyone parked on the street will simply get plowed in by a plow truck and remain buried there until summer. In short, driveways are where people park their cars, even during winter. Provide your expectations on how that will work. Some videos showing an expectation for how a gravel section of walkway or driveway can be handled would be nice. Cheers!

@@smc1897 Hi there! Thank you so much for your feedback and for reaching out to us! We truly appreciate your input. Many of the concerns you mentioned have already been addressed, and we’re excited to share more about these improvements in our upcoming videos. For the issue of turning, we’ve introduced a new feature called ‘dead-end’ that helps with moving straight without turning. It does involve creating multiple ‘dead-end’ routes, but we’re always working on even smarter solutions. Our mowers are designed with a powerful motor, but we recommend clearing debris before mowing due to the blade and deck design. We’ll definitely highlight the waterproof feature in future videos. For snow clearing, we have a similar feature called ‘side-walk’ that allows for straight entry and exit without needing to turn. Regarding parking on the driveway, our 2023 model lets you set a temporary no-go zone via the app to prevent collisions with vehicles. And the 2024 model has upgraded dual cameras for automatic vehicle avoidance. We’re grateful for your suggestions and hope you’ll see these updates and more in our future KZbin content. Thanks again for your support, and stay tuned!
