I don’t see what the potato slips look like. Would like to try this. Also why are so many photos or video clips of white potatoes shown. Sorry wanted to love this.

When harvesting, cut off the tops, still attatched to some onion bulb. Replant.
@Gardentips87614 күн бұрын
That's a great tip! Keeping some of the bulb attached can really help with replanting. Happy gardening!

@Gardentips876Ай бұрын
Honest KZbin videos can be surprising, but they show real results-like how easy and productive it is to grow cucumbers at home. You’d be amazed at how much you can harvest from just a few plants!

It's dangerous for you. Don't use those in your garden!
@Gardentips8762 ай бұрын
Why?
@gene_b2 ай бұрын
@@Gardentips876 As tires breakdown, these toxic substances leach out, contaminating the soil, the plants, and leaching through storm water into creeks and lakes. Over time, this could pose health risk for gardeners or those consuming the produce. Contaminants can be breathed in; they can be absorbed through the skin; or consumed
@Gardentips8762 ай бұрын
Thanks for your concern. Research shows that using tires for gardening is generally safe. Here's why: Low Leaching Risk: Studies indicate that the risk of harmful substances leaching from tires into soil is minimal. Use Barrier: Adding a liner, like landscape fabric, can further reduce any potential risk. Healthy Plants: Healthy, well-maintained plants are less likely to absorb contaminants.

I thought peace Lilly covented carbon dioxide to oxygen at night
@Gardentips8763 ай бұрын
Great question! While the Peace Lily is fantastic at removing common household toxins like ammonia, benzene, and formaldehyde, it doesn't specifically convert carbon dioxide to oxygen at night. Plants like the Snake Plant are known for that. Thanks for pointing that out!

Great video! I've found I can hand pollinate corn. Just break off some tassels and paint an ear's silk with them. Go crazy with it, each silk needs a pollen for its corn kernel to get pregnant

Waiting to harvest tomatoes until they are fully ripe is bad advice. Harvest at the breaker stage with 30-40% color and let them finish ripening indoors. If you wait until they are fully ripe to pick, you’ll lose more fruits to cracking, disease, squirrels, birds, etc. You also say not to overhead water while the video shows overhead watering.
@Gardentips8763 ай бұрын
Thank you for your comment! You bring up a very important point about harvesting tomatoes. Harvesting at the breaker stage, when tomatoes have 30-40% color, can indeed help reduce losses due to cracking, disease, and pests like squirrels and birds. It's a great tip to finish ripening tomatoes indoors for better quality and yield. As for the watering, you're absolutely right that overhead watering can increase the risk of disease. We recommend using drip irrigation or watering at the base of the plant to keep the foliage dry. We'll make sure to clarify this in future videos to help everyone get the best results from their garden. Thanks for watching and sharing your insights!
