I love my geese! I'm on here to see what goose breed i want to get next year. I have 2 female French talouse and 2 Sebastopol geese.

Would they grow in a cold wet climate or do they need heat like corn?

He does such a good job every year. His mate doesn’t do a good job hatching her eggs but Bitsy always adopts a few kids from other geese.

How do you plant them?
@WindsweptWillowsFarm7 ай бұрын
You just push the whole seed in the ground like you are planting corn.

How did it work out?
@WindsweptWillowsFarm Жыл бұрын
It worked well. I have a bachelor pad for brown leghorns currently that also is working well and I have two d’uccle that are with a small flock of hens that are getting along beautifully. But I’ve also had boys that didn’t do well in a bachelor flock setup and had to be separately housed.

@mylesromanow98212 жыл бұрын
you need to add a matt to the incubator when hatching, either cupboard liner or even paper towel. The plastic in brinsea's are too slippery and cause splayed legs in chicks

Thank you so much! I always have leftover whey and couldn't figure out how to feed it to my chickens. I give some to my dogs, but I don't want them to get too much. We make a gallon on Greek yogurt using raw milk about every 1½ - 2 weeks.
