This is one of those games you play for 2 months before you get bored and put the controller down , I don't think it will last very long

Thank you for this video, super helpful, so going fourth would you use dtm or hgig? I just brought a g4 oled, but some people complain that hgig looks dim and to use dtm and then others says hgig looks better and not to use dtm, obviously I do not want to be switching between both mods as I would need to recalibrate every time, so what do you use normally? And I guess keep hdr on when supported not automatic.

@@Noble3781 if you have G3 or G4 use HGIG because the brightness of these tvs are high enough for HGIG and yes keep HDR on when supported I prefer DTM on the C and B series

I heard that the update would make many things worse. I ordered the pro but every console had loud coil whine. Terrible so i bought the slim now. Thank you.

@@heylias B4 has only 668 nit so the sun doesn't disappear also you should do 13 click not 14 but I suggest that you calibrate with DTM on since the brightness on B4 is low for impactful HDR in HGIG

@@luiscisneros8412 15 click correspond to 968nit which is 32nit less than the max brightness of this tv (1000nit ), if you sit it until the sun disappear it will be 16 clicks which correspond to 1117nit which is 117 nit above the tv max brightness so 15 click is the most accurate

fps just isnt made to be played with a controller, the game is 1000x better with a mouse and keyboard, but i understand not everybody is a pc player, i'm a huge stalker fan and gameplay is a second to me, the story is what always captivated me since Shadow of chernobyl, i hope you keep enjoying the game, it has many downsides but how the story folds out slowly really impressed me, progression os very nice too, i'm glad you enjoyed some of it.

Thanks for explaining in detail the settings, good video. Although I have a question, the calibration for hgig and dynamic tone that I set on the ps5 and pc works for the Lg G4 TV? I ask this because this tv has more nits(between 1400/1500) and I wonder if this amount will affect or not in some negative way the dynamic tone settings on pc and ps5. I know the clarification is in the title but I want to clarify this doubt 100%. Thanks for your help!

@@Artae-km4vr Thanks for watching For dynamic tone mapping it's the same setting but for HGIG its 18 clicks for first and second screen and zero click for the third from bottom, on Pc for HGIG just put your tv max luminance which is 1489

How many clicks for the HDR of a 48-inch LG OLED C2? If I leave the sun partially visible, just before it disappears, it gives me 800 nits in some games, would this be correct? Doesn't lowering the third screen to the darkest flatten the blacks and eliminate detail? In some games it is the shadow detail, not the black point, as I have seen. Sorry for the chatter, I like the topic and I'm just trying to understand. thank you!

48 C2 clips at 800nit so it's 14 clicks just like the 55 and 65 models , also tone mapping is different from one game to another some will give 800 and other will give you more 2nd lowering the third screen to the darkest is important as this sets your minimum tone map luminance to the minimum in order to achieve the inkiest blacks possible which is very important for HDR , some games have bad HDR implementation which is why you get problems in shadows

Hey, I want to use ps5 HDR on my gaming monitor , I have a LG 48GQ900-B. What hdr setting do you recommend for me cus on the main ps5 menu the screen is a bit too dark, but when I turn HDR off the color are bright and looking good.

The problem with your monitor is that it has an aggressive automatic dimmer that kicks in very fast which limits the HDR brightness also the HDR brightness itself isn't bright enough for HDR but regardless , turn off smart energy in your monitor , also try to use HDR with 60fps not 120fps and see if it's help with the color you can change that from the PS5 screen and video settings , disable 120fps

You can still calibrate with HGIG and use DTM but HDR won't look as good , DTM looks and performs better when it has its own calibration settings

@vegaskidd555 Yes, that's true. Your tv max nit is 800 whether you're on dtm or hgig. Calibrating hdr with dtm will blow out the highlights, so use hgig when you do it.

However, I got a question for you I'm hoping you can answer: how can I safe a certain picture profile so I can switch from a HDR game to a non - HDR (autoHDR) game or to a setting for watching movies from my PC? I don't want to tweak settings every time I do something else. What is the best way to go about that?

Thanks for watching, unfortunately windows 11 does not support native switching between SDR and HDR content , so you will have to switch off HDR manually from windows display settings when playing SDR content , however there are third party open software you can use for this purpose from GitHub.com also Auto HDR in windows means forcing HDR on games that doesn't support native HDR

Just finished playing this today. I'm a slow gamer, so started it in July ( still picked up the 15 hours trophy). It's a beautiful game, as someone who played the PS3 hd versions of Ico and SotC when they came out, I'd wanted to play this for an age, so pretty much bought a second hand PS4 just for this (have got some other PS4 exclusive games to play next). It didn't disappoint, and that first leap of faith really got me with the emotions. Thanks for the video.

for me best game ever. very emotional game and insane animations. played it with my little kids and everyone got attached to trico as if it was our real pet. the music, the atmosphere, goosebumps all over. now hoping for a remaster on pc or shadps4 emulator to focus on this game!

My advice, when youre showing gameplay, put text in the corner with the title of the game, and the emulator. I know thats Phantasy Star Portable 2 on PPSSPP, and Chrono Cross for Swanstation, but most wont.
