When you cut 1/2 x1/2 out does it go to far where the center looks like it came through in some places

it may but it doesn't hurt a thing! there is still plenty of structure and strength!

we ran 225/40/18's all around that maintained the stock height of the original 14" tire

Looks good. Some kind of lathe setup could come in handy for this kind of work.

You can run Z71 wheels with adapters and Z71 lug nuts. Cheap wheels, expensive adapters and lug nuts.

we're running 225-40-18" tires which is really close to the factory tire height so as not to throw off your speedometer!!

I see a lot of people using "Titan Wheels". Why? Can you get them cheap from Nissan Titan owners that have switched them out? Or is that just the popular thing to buy for D21's?

there aren't many aftermarket wheels under 20" that have the positive offset needed to fit under the fender of the hardbody trucks and yes you can pickup titan wheels pretty cheap!!!

@@tintshop6753 Thanks for the input. Recently got me a hardbody with stock wheels. Trying to decide if I want to get tires for stock wheels or take off wheels/tires.

@@weekendhomeprojects there are lots of other stock wheels that either fit or can be made to fit. do some digging around on the net and in nissan forums for ideas and keep an eye out on facebook marketplace for local deals!!
