Another great post! First off, I have to disagree about the car not getting noticed. The design of our cars look like nothing else on the road, people notice. Additionally, with the right color combo (ahem...Ultrasonic Blue w/the Circuit Red interior and no tint), EVERYONE notices! LOL! 😜 I incidentally hit a deer coming down from a mountain run a few weeks ago. Thankfully I was not hurt, the deer walked away (after she got up), and the car was not totaled. The hood, bumper, and the driver's side headlight are getting replaced as we speak. (About $6K in damage.) At any rate, my insurance rental is a 2024 Genesis G70. The car is perfectly fine; it's smooth, comfortable, and looks damn good. However, it's no IS500. It feels more like my old IS350s, which were also nice and looked great, but I didn't +enjoy+ the art of driving. The 500 makes you want to drive it all day every day! I do not know if it's just the engine, sound, design...or all three...but I will keep my IS500 forever. It'll be 3 years of ownership in March and I love this car more today than the day Blu was picked up. Thanks for posting and happy motoring!

You are definitely right. I read through a bunch of forums saying the same thing. A lot of people switched to the michelins ps4s and said they’re game changers. And with the sizing you can probably get away with 275/35 and 240/40. For a full set it’s cheaper than the potenzas and handle better even in the rain. If you buy from like costco or sam’s club it could run you about 1300 rather than 1700-1800 for potenza and they last a whole lot longer.

I have the base enkei wheels and about 7k miles on the car in a year and the inner tread for the rear tires are cooked and the front outer tire tread as well. I heard the rear tread is common. I was thinking MPS4s or all season for better traction in the rain. I was wondering how you tires are holding up so far. Once again love the build!
@Hyper_BoostАй бұрын
@@FPotat03 Thanks bro, I appreciate it. As far as the tires are concerned, mine are still pretty thick at 6500k miles. BUT, I have to disclaim that its not my everyday driver. The IS' excessive tire ware issue is due to the softer silicone or rubber compund of the upper and lower control arm bushings. They usually replace them with the ones for the RCF and it usually solves the problem. Only then, I would think about replacing tires.

Great car, I see that you have the F sport badging on both sides of the car. Is it the 500 with the sport package? If so did you get lowering springs after and what you think about voiding the warranty? And one last question, how long will you keep your car for?
@Hyper_BoostАй бұрын
@@echoalpha9157 Thank you, bro! I appreciate the car compliment. OK, let's address your questions: 1) Yes, ALL 500s are F-Sport. But, not a true "F" car like the ISF, GSF, etc. I wish that Lexus gave us a complete "F" car & for the life of me, I dont understand why they just didnt make it one. 2) I lowered the car after purchase. Used Swift SpecR springs. As far as voiding the warranty, theres a law against that called the Magnusson-Moss Act to protect the consumer. They cannot void the warranty totally and can only decline to fix the part that failed due to the mod you did. Lexus can't void a transmission warranty if i didnt mod it. Not really worried about since its not my daily. 3) FOREVER, Bro! I love this car! Thanks again for your support!
