Okay let’s not factor in this week, the 49ers have looked dreadful should not even sniff the top 10. The Bucs really should be more like 12-15. Ravens are more like 6-8 with how their defense is. Chargers should be top 12 at least, #1 in PA this year with a decent offense, they are like the Kroger Steelers. And even though the Steelers had a bad loss week 12 they still should already have been #8. Bills snubbed at 6. Winning matters, Vikings should be top 8. Texans have proven nothing to anyone. They should be 12-15.

For the record, this list is before Week 5 games. Tampa WHACKED the Eagles before this week. Colts haven't really sucked all around, but I get the sentiment so I won't push there. I appreciate the feedback! The Power Rankings are meant to be an overtime gauge of how good the team is and not jumping to overall conclusions. At the end of the day, from where the Vikings and 49ers were last year and what each team has shown this year, their placings are appropriate. Though with the Vikings winning this week, they are certainly showcasing the conversation is getting closer.

Honestly, such a valid critique. In the future, I'm going to plan a lot better if I planned on staying within my constraints. Luckily, it probably only affected the Commanders and 49ers with receivers. Everything else is pretty damn close to what I think. I should've bit the bullet and gave Aiyuk realistically 800ish yards, Kittle 900ish, and Deebo over a 1,000. That's a bit more accurate. It is possible that Jennings, Thomas, and Pearsall do get a surprising number of yards, but not enough for that math to work. Seriously appreciate the Criticism, helps me be better!

Bro, this is some of the most surface level analysis I've seen. Going by roasters on ESPN at this stage of the year when everything is so fluid. I want to emphasize the whole OL "analysis". Yeah no shit they're not going to have the same sacks as last year, the line is totally revamped and we finally have a decent OL coach. Bricillo had a great track record in LV and our line has better pieces than theirs. So I would guess (if everyone stays healthy, something that could but be said about last year) we will be average this year and that will be enough to take this team to a totally new level. 0-3 wins my ass
@StraightAMain
@StraightAMain 5 ай бұрын
While I hear you, you can’t necessarily go by ESPN rosters (as I’ve learned) this team isn’t changing all that much. If you think the additions to the O-Line make that much of an improvement from last year AND help carry the team, I just can’t agree. We haven’t seen this team produce and while there may be promise, it just isn’t enough. If the team had Barkley and moved on from Jones, I would agree with you. The Giants could very well go more than 3, but not by much. I just think 4 teams have the potential to go 3 or less, and I chose the Giants and Panthers

"And the Great Tua Debate continues..." The problem the Dolphins put themselves into by drafting him was that they now have to spend All Their Energy trying to prove us all wrong about him, & he's at his height. & they've failed. He can't elevate. he can't improvise. & they have no one else. So it's not like he's lacking talent. Plenty of QBs would do worse. Just as 3 QB couldn't do anything with JJ & Addison in MIN. So he's a starter, they're not. But he couldn't make it as a _good starter_ on the Titans Raiders or Jets. He's carried by his weapons. What you say about the rest of the positions & depth is true. It reminds me of this excuse made by 'analysts' who were speaking From Theory & not any analysis done. No one has yet explained why Mike McD abandons the run late in games. This excuse I heard for why he abandoned it late in the season was (valid) injuries to the o-line. He couldn't get the blocking he had previously used from them. Does that mean he got _NO_ blocking from them though? Or that he couldn't make _any_ other run schemes work? Without footage showing what the starters could & back-ups couldn't do, this is 100% conjecture. But even if true, it speaks to the lack of depth. If false, it speaks to the lack of depth of Mike McD's play-calling.

No sense in putting this off any more. 1) When Justin Fields called out hos Own Coaches publicly, we all knew _he_ was not gonna get support from his team. Poles & Eberflus were pretending otherwise & All The Fans went along with this. I can't be the only one who thinks it's suspicious that a GM who thought Fields had Any Chance of making it in the NFL didn't investigate into something about a coach sabotaging said QB when trading him based upon said sabotage could end his career. Or if Eberflus wasn't himself the saboteur, why didn't _he_ look into this? So right then we All Knew Poles & Eberflus weren't even going to _try_ to make things work with Fields. However, this meant they were Intentionally Tanking. & that made people uncomfortable. So everyone but me apparently went into denial over this. Now I'm gonna work backwards. 2) The reason Fields finally called them out was starting week 5 of '22 I think they asked/ordered him to Not Throw to certain receivers on certain plays. I know that everyone watching games knew of this because the Fields haters made up the following justification: "the Bears _HAD TO_ do this in order to simplify the offense because Fields can't read defenses." 3) Brett Kollmann proved otherwise with stats kzbin.info/www/bejne/h6bLhpV_iNOlbtU before Fields even took a snap in the NFL but not only would I expect a very low % of NFL fans to know this, let's face it: asking your QB to stop mid-scramble or mid-throw to read a receiver's jersey before throwing the ball is *core complicated* than throwing to anyone in your team colors who is open. So the haters invented a brand new lie to cover for this. Remember, "he can't read defenses" was reiterated to excuse what they _knew and said was_ a coaching decision for Fields' own good, right? They "had to do this" (call for him to not throw to receivers sometimes) to simplify the offense for him, causing him to have to hang onto the ball. So of course the next invented lie was "he hangs onto the ball too long." They _knew_ he had to due to coaches' orders. Whether intentionally or not, they came up with the Perfect Lie. There's no denying he did hang onto the ball when receivers were open starting week 5 of '22. So, so far we have the first two myths about Fields busted. But wait, isn't there MORE we can say about the play-calling? Again, I seem to be the only person who noticed that the Designed QB Rushes weren't the only different plays called weeks 8-10 of that year. So people who were wondering if play-calling & roster were affecting him got their answer. Those weeks _proved_ it! But because this confirmed that Eberflus was working against him, especially when they went Right Back to calling the plays that failed *before* this streak, people wrote this off as a fluke. It's human nature to go into Group Denial. When we hear people saying things we _KNOW_ are wrong, people decide to side with what they know is wrong because the fear is _stronger_ when The Issue Goes Unmentioned. Media didn't ask Fields any follow-up questions when he called out his coaches & they stopped annoying Eberflus with any ever again. Eventually even analysts were talking about Eberflus' charisma. They 100% "forgot" about those weeks of trying to shut reporters up with chop-wave motions of his arm looking like he was threatening he would spank them like an Angry Dad if they didn't shut up. But *I remember **_ALL_** of this.* I'm not done yet but whoo-ee this was long.

Zac Taylor's play-calling has been called simple, but they had success with Browning because no it isn't. It's different when Burrow is in & the rumor I'm starting to suspect is true is that Burrow is playing with WAY too big a chip on his shoulder & feels a need to prove he Can Play when injured & without a safety net, & subsist on almost All Long Passes. This would make sense of what Chase was saying about it being a better idea to rest Burrow while hurt than play him. The message was aimed *at **_Burrow,_* not Bengals' management? They didn't have to put a gun to Burrow's head to get him on the field. Now that they know Browning can win games, hopefully this never happens again.

The Raiders have some Really High-End Talent that is gonna make an impact on the NFL followed by a lot of holes in their roster that haven't been filled. They're gonna make a lot of highlight reel plays but probably not win many games. Wilkins & Crosby should make it hard for most QBs to get a good night's sleep the night before though & that isn't hyperbole. Either one is a concern on their own. Will my comment stay after refreshing? Okay, since it does, I can say something. If not the 49ers, _this_ is the team I expect to take the NFC, not the Lions. Both HCs have problems in how they handle stress during games but Lafleur has gotten better at planning ahead. I heard a Packers fan speculate that they think he's good at the white-board planning, not so much communicating with players. But look how smooth the offense became in the last half of last season? Meanwhile the Lions seem determined to tweak Every Last Aspect Of Individuality Out of players before allowing them to touch the ball. What _IS_ Dan Campbell talking about regarding Jamo for instance? Jamo's highlights are insane. There's no excuse to not use him more yet Campbell is 'Becoming Pleased With His Progress.' _What_ progress? Throw him the _ball!_ Nothing _needs_ changing. So this is the stuff that makes me think the Lions are going to continue to self-destruct in important games, insisting on everything going Their Way to extent that they refuse to work with what they have.
