Well from 2010-2013, BBC Three did air a lot of CBBC shows in the early 7-8PM slot like The Sarah Jane Adventures, wolfblood and more recently The Next Step!

I think CBBC is offloading most of their older-skewing shows to BBC Three in preparation for their move to iPlayer next year (sooner than you think now). They added 5 CBeebies shows to the schedule in January so my guess is they're airing younger-skewing material to ease a possible transition of CBBC shows to CBeebies. As for the live shows such as Blue Peter and Saturday Mash-Up I could see them going to CBeebies and BBC Three respectively. Blue Peter wouldn't need much tweaking since it's aired on CBeebies before and BBC Three could give Saturday Mash-Up a bit more leeway with what they can do on live TV.

I can see BBC Two also been utilised for programmes that don't fit on either and are already being shown on their Saturday morning block, like Pokémon (way too violent for CBeebies but too childish for BBC Three despite them promoting it, same can be said for whatever Dragon Ball shows they have now) and Newsround (too serious for CBeebies, BBC Three has The Catch Up) and I could also see Saturday Mash-Up! moving to BBC Two. They aired the first series of it simulcast with CBBC so it is something they have experience with. BBC Three I think should extend it's hours in the wake of CBBC's demise, possibly to 5pm, incorporating older skewing CBBC programmes that could appeal to the Three audience (Wolfblood, Got What it Takes, Crazy Fun Park) and popular BBC One family shows (Doctor Who, The Wheel, Gladiators, possibly even Strictly) until original programmes at around 8pm. One obstacle about this however is the likelihood CBeebies will timeshare with Three after CBBC closes, but also BBC Four, meaning CBeebies and BBC Three might as well be on one channel. Perhaps they could open a new channel where CBeebies is and move Three over to (a reduced) BBC Parliament?

Oh, BBC Two have shown Red Dwarf recently? I'm not really sure that the archive of episodes have any real value on TV, now. Don't get me wrong, I used to be a big fan of it. I suppose I still am. But the vast majority of fans will have seen them countless times, would likely own them on on DVD, and they're readily available on other free streaming services away from the BBC. And even though the show is still kind of in sporadic production by UKTV, I don't think it's a major pull for new audiences. I know that some diehard fans will always continue to watch the old episodes over and over and over, but, like I say, they would already own copies of them all. So watching it rerun on TV would not be a must-see. I did used to watch them over and over, myself, in the 90's. But even when you love a show, there comes a point, for most people, where you stop watching it because you know it off by heart and there's just no value in continuing to do so. You could count on one hand the amount of episodes I've watched in the last 20-odd years. I'm not really interested in watching it now, despite being a fan. And I think that would be the case with most people. It's certainly a good thing to have them available on the iplayer, but I'd guess that the appeal is very limited on regular TV now. I'm sounding like I have some kind of hatred towards Red Dwarf, but it's not that at all. I just don't think there's much more mileage they can get out of them.

This first show's obviously terrible, like everyone has always gone on about. But it's a credit to Nigel Pickard, David Liddiment, and all the other ITV executives that they persevered with the series and its initially poor ratings when others wouldn't - just a shame that they didn't offer the same support for shows that arguably failed in viewership terms at first, but had clear potential and quality from the off (e.g. Life Force...)

It was a reupload of an old video from MediaHallway. The reason the comments are disabled for that video is due to the CBeebies fan base often being immature. Obviously not every single fan but a good proportion of them just beg for shows.

There used to be a pre-school CITV junction leading out of The Magic House from the same afternoon and before Molly's Gang but sadly it hasn't resurfaced online all these years later I seem to remember that it had a Tots TV preview for Monday afternoon and promo for Alphabet Castle before the pre-school link into Molly's Gang.

The pre-school section of CITV was brilliant from 1993 to 1998. I really enjoyed all the shows, especially Rosie and Jim, Tots TV, Wizadora, The Riddlers, Jays World, and Caribou Kitchen. I think the last two in particular are very underrated nowadays and deserve better recognition like the other shows Iisted. I also liked the character idents with Abacat, Cheesy, Ruskman and Mr. Clockface.

I didn't watch SM:TV right from the beginning back in the day, I think I started watching it a year later, it's interesting that they used the CD:UK music for the first episode.
@classicsportclassictiyl8547

By their own admission Ant, Dec and Cat initially got it wrong at the beginning of SM:TV's lifespan because as we see here there was nothing it was dead. It was just the 3 of them there no audience, nothing at all the only guest stars of note were the Honeyz who Cat interviewed as all their efforts were being put into CD:UK the third hour which was an upgrade on The ITV Chart Show which after 12 years had gone stale. The original idea was for SM:TV to be warm up/pre show to CD:UK which was the main event as it were. But even then they were struggling to get the big names onto CD:UK yes they got 5ive as we see from part 2 of this video as we see them arriving at SMTV's studio in Waterloo to the sound of screaming teenagers, Suggs who we see right at the start when Ant and Dec showed us round SM:TV's home and the aforementioned Honeyz but not much else because they were all going on L&K because it was the better of the two and where all the kids were at with Zoe and Jamie It was only when Ant, Dec and Cat went to a panto in Sunderland and saw their potential audience when the penny dropped and thought hang on CD:UK isn't the main event we need to do more in the first 2 hours of the show. The moment they brought kids into the studio, CITV gaining the rights to broadcast Pokémon which was in the ascendancy combined with rivals L&K losing Zoe and Jamie who departed at the end of series 6 of L&K and their replacements Steve Wilson and Emma Ledden didn't work at all things took off. Also another thing that worked in SM:TVs favour was that it was broadcasted on every Saturday of the year whilst L&K only broadcasted during the school year the BBC only started broadcasting L&K yearly in its final year 2001 and by then it was just dead they changed the presenters again after the Steve & Emma era flopped with Katy Hill, Trey Farley, Ortis Deeley and Sarah Cawood but it didn't work and when it decamped to Glasgow for the death knell Katy Hill quite wisely bailed out and Heather Suttie filled the void.
