must been amazing going in the studio and then offered up The Linn drum for the drums. Must have been likes a kid in a sweet shop? Before that its just synth patches.

It's really interesting to hear the bare bones of these tracks. Amazing how this structures evolved. Sound like it was recorded on something like a Tascam 4 track portable studio?Used to have one! Maybe in his room or flat

Im not sure why, but the Judas demo got me really emotional. It just feels so lonely, somehow? Like, i can imagine martin in '92 writing these songs that come from the depths of his heart, and his heart is hurting... the tensions within the group are rising, and he's making a demo for this song to prolong the inevitable breaking point... not to mention the lyrics 😿 i think the simplicity of the melody really is what makes me so damn sad...

I never thought that "The Sweetest Perfection" could get any more "Gore-y." I was wrong. This is awesome. This song (the album version) is the reason I became such a fervent fan of the band.
