I have a clothes basket that was my mother's. It was worse for wear. My dad, took copper tubing and ran it under the lip to strengthen it. They are both gone now...but I am still using that basket. ❤❤❤

That is an innovative solve to a laundry basket with a cracked rim for sure! Do you need to use any special type of bulb because it's enclosed and near the shower steam?
@DIYNate
@DIYNate 6 күн бұрын
Good question - I didn't look that closely at mine short of just using a like-for-like bulb swap, but if you are concerned, the best place to look would be the owner's manual. I think you are probably safe using a similar bulb to what you have, but since models and makes can vary, I would just double check the manual or use a similar bulb. Hope that helps! - DIYNate

Hey there Vieweratlarge - sorry the short didn't get you what you were looking for. I did have two longer form videos of this same video on KZbin. One of the challenges with Shorts is it can be tough to hit all the details the particular user is looking for. Here is the 16 minute video that hopefully shows it better. kzbin.info/www/bejne/Zni8h3yFesuKr6ssi=MUEDAwABQUcrGfRN Feedback is noted and apologies it didn't meet what you are looking for. Could you make a video showing how to replace the suction pad for when the pad loses its suction all the way?
@DIYNate
@DIYNate 6 күн бұрын
Great suggestion - I will put that on the list of ideas on how to do that, and I think a lot of the pads come with an adhesive already on them and if you order them, just cleaning off the dash to make sure it has a good, clean surface to rest on is the key. From there, peeling the adhesive back on and pushing it on the dash should create a good place for your phone mount to secure against. I believe these replacement pads may be what you are going for - amzn.to/3ysERop . Will definitely keep that as a future video idea next time I need to replace mine!

What if the ice maker water doesn't turn off at all and water is dumping all over the floor while your sleeping ? Wake up with water raining down through the basement ceiling.
@DIYNate
@DIYNate 6 күн бұрын
That sounds like it may be a refrigerator, valve, or ice maker problem. Hard to advise on that one, as something is causing water to keep coming through and maybe not closing off. Not sure where I would start on that one, but am guessing the water inlet valve may be a good starting point. Good luck! Any other experts feel free to chime in on this comment - good question! - DIYNate

I reset my battery and it went on the charger one light came on then 3 solid lights the second time 1 flashing and charger was green went dead in seconds, so I jumped battery to battery for about 30 mins. back to charger same lights all around so I just left it on the charger for hours all the lights went out the next day got a multimeter hit the + & - with the probes and it says 40 volts , IDK not my area of expertise ... however the blower worked with this battery?
@DIYNate
@DIYNate 18 күн бұрын
Hey there - well, that sounds like you did a lot to get some results and if I am reading, right, you are saying your blower is working with the 40v but maybe not some other tool and the charger isn’t showing it as charging. Seems odd - I wonder if your charger or other tool may be part of the issue / culprit, or just something that is acting up altogether with the battery. Hard to help from a comment but good luck to you and best wishes! - DIYNate

If the door water works, can this still be the problem? Any way to tell if the problem is the water valve vs the water inlet valve before replacing? Thanks!
@DIYNate
@DIYNate 18 күн бұрын
Great question - yes, the door water can still work and the valve still be a problem. It has two functions - one for water to ice and one for water to the door so it can be just one of them is bad (that was actually the way it was for me originally). Hard to diagnose the water valve / inlet valve vs the icemaker but if you are getting water to the door, then I would rule out the water valve on the back of the fridge for now and then have the issue be either water inlet valve inside the fridge or ice maker. If you put some water in the ice maker and it makes ice and drops the ice, then it is a bit more likely (in my novice opinion) to be an inlet valve issue. If the icemaker maker doesn’t function at all and create or drop ice, then it may be the ice maker is the better solve and isn’t calling for water or harvesting ice. If you pull the icemaker out and there is ice in there but not dropping then also likely to be an icemaker issue. Good luck and hope this helps! - DIYNate

Mine os of course more complicated, had to slide out screw covers, unscrew 2 screws only to find not only lots of dust on light & motor but the light has a metal housing around it, can't see how to get it let alone reach as my lid had 2 wires plugged in near inaccessible to unplug.
@DIYNate
@DIYNate Ай бұрын
Rats - that sounds pretty complicated. You could try and see if you can find a model and then look up the manual online to see if there is a better way or maybe try the Google Lens feature where you take a picture within the google browser and it identifies your type of light. Maybe from that you can find the model number and then the manual to see how they recommend the bulb change. Sounds like you got a doozy of one. Good luck with the change! - DIYNate

Hi - the lint screen is really a reusable filter that catches lint and just needs to be cleaned off pretty much every time you use your dryer. If yours has a hole in it like mine had, you may want to go ahead and replace it with a version that fits as a replacement. Good luck with the fix - hope this helps! Thanks for your comment! DIYNate

@DIYNate
@DIYNate Ай бұрын
Great question - I would say if you want the best quality/fit, go with the OEM (original equipment manufacturer) but since the cost comparison is usually much more, I would typically take my chances with a generic but compatible fit and watch it for the first month or so (the return period) and make sure it works well. I think I left a link to the filter replacement I used in the video description if you have the same model. Good luck and hope this helps, friend! - DIYNate

@DIYNate
@DIYNate Ай бұрын
Well - if it isn’t turning it at all, it probably means you have something stuck in there. I would try and go one direction, then the other to see if you can get it to move. If you are able to give it a bit of force you may be able to get t it to unjam and move forward. The reset button may also help if you have one of those on the underside. Good luck with the fix and hope it helps! - DIYNate
