I believe that Gabriel is my great Ancestor as well! I'm glad I can use this website to learn more. Are there any other sources I can use to get more information and documents on the Hollands?

I’m a direct descendant of Chief Cornstalk. Although I appreciate the effort but this is not entirely accurate and tarnishes his legacy. This is a very colonized and whitewashed version of the actual story. Blessings.

Okay. Can you do a video on White Slavery in Colonial America? Perhaps you could discuss the millions of kidnapped Irish and English children who were brought here for labor against their will. You could discuss the forced breeding of Irish women with africans in Jamaica and elsewhere. You could also include the Muslim slave trade during the 500 year period when Ottomans and Barbary raiders colonized Europe, stealing and castrating millions of Europeans, selling our women in sexual slavery? Thanks. Last I remember White people outlawed slavery.

Thank you for the book recommendation, my 5th great grandfather was Paul Shaver 1720 - 1772 who settled on Licking creek on the South branch or the Potomac River. At least 4 of his sons served in the revolution. I was searching through Chalkley's Chronicles today, there are 3 or 4 mentions of Paul Shaver, nothing special.

I descend from a Virginia Oliver clan. My family left VA before the War and ended up in Oregon. A distant cousin' s Oliver's left a common ancestor, a Joseph Oliver, of Charlotte County, VA. They went to Georgia and Alabama. Dr. Ward Oliver of Mobile and I are related by quite a genetic distance. Proven none the less by the Oliver YDNA Project. Imagine, a yankee Oliver and Confederate Olivers.. Go figr..

What they're not telling you is that these are blonde girls who are being sold into sex slavery because obviously no person would rationally buy a a boy when obviously they make more money selling a blonde girl in someone should campaign against Harris and Ramaswamy and the other people from India running for president in America are obviously talking about selling blondes as sex slaves which is why their armies are in UK Sweden Switzerland Ukraine Russia Australia Canada and America

According to Roxanne Dunbar Ortiz, the Puritans in Colonial Massachusetts started using scalping on the Indigenous People/Native American "Indians" after they put a bounty on their heads & discovered how inconvenient & revolting it was to carry their severed heads around. So I doubt that the Indigenous People of Colonial North Carolina practiced scalping. I also doubt that the Indigenous People would let their children out of their sight OR allow them to attend "a white man's school"? For what purpose? Of what use would reading be wiith nothing to read?

Now the home and grounds are owed privately. Apparently a airspace or cell tower multi-millionaire has bought the property and put tens of millions of dollars into a building in the old style of the time period several outbuildings updating and upgrading many things on the property. Apparently he's so wealthy he has done this with multiple plantations in the US. It is truly a billionaire's play home now. But he did do it with style.

Hello again, Ms. Austin, I would like to watch your video, but unfortunately the sound is so low that I can't hear what you are saying. I have traced my ancestors from Pennsylvania (1705) to Texas (1840's), but there are thin spots here and there and I am always looking for more information on the earlier generations in PA, VA, NC, SC and TN. I will keep looking for your videos and hoping the sound problem is resolved!! Thankyou.

"Things were not very good" yeah right! - 150 killed Americans, 227 captured, an unknown quantity wounded (probably in the hundreds), some fatally lost in the woods and swamps trying to run away, most of those that escaped deserted afterwards. For the loss of FIVE Scottish soldiers, and the British were outnumbered - that's the story of Briar Creek madam.

Mathew Arbuckle was my 5th great grandfather, who started Fort Arbuckle in 1774 in Greenbrier County, WV, and history has it that Captain Arbuckle tried to stop the killing of Cornstalk, but to no avail. I have a family website, where I touch on Cornstalk and the Arbuckle Fort, and I will ask my readers to be sure and check out your video here.

This is terrible. The woman um's and hems and haws, needing notes and makes no eye contact with the camera. She is sitting in a room with odds and ends of furniture. The sound reproduction is bad--microphone placement? And the worse thing is the video doesn't show any of the rooms she is describing!!!!! What??? What is the point? A group of high school students could do a better job making a project for history class. Please give this wonderful place the recognition it deserves.

My ancestor, William Wallace, was born in Ireland in 1751.He arrived in North Carolina in 1773. He married Mary Elizabeth MacDonald there in 1778. By 1873 they had migrated to Hants County, Nova Scotia. I am curious about which part of North. Carolina he might have settled in.
