I love this kind of review. Not the "I got this new thing and it's so cool and here's everything I like about it" kind of review, but the "I got this thing and I have been using it for a long time and here's what I like and here's what I dislike about it" kind. Thank you so much 😊

Hi, I got gifted this camera and I'm still learning how to use it. Do you know if it's possible to see the info (like time and exposure) while looking on the viewfinder? I can only see them on the screen

That’s an interesting camera. But I don’t use the landscape orientation on my cameras.

I own an EOS 1Ds Mk III. Beautiful camera. I used mine for about 12 years. I just turned 77 this year. I still own it but it's now too heavy to carry. I switched to a 6D Mk II.

Nice post. I bought mine in 2007 as an upgrade from my Konica Minolta Dimage Z2. I just "rediscovered" it a week or so ago, and I intend to take it on vacation (instead of my A6500) this summer. :) Thanks for sharing.

- 📷 Canon EOS 6D, despite being over 10 years old, remains a robust and reliable full-frame camera. - 🎨 Great color reproduction and durability make it a favorite for various shooting conditions. - 🖐 Ergonomics and usability are strong points with a well-laid-out button interface. - 🔋 Excellent battery life with the LP-E6 battery, ideal for prolonged shooting sessions. - 🎥 Capable of tethered shooting and adding custom picture profiles via EOS Utility. - 🌞 The LCD screen is functional with good color accuracy, albeit slightly reflective in bright sunlight. - 🔒 Mode dial lock prevents accidental mode changes, appreciated for dual-camera users. - ⏱ Shutter speed up to 1/4000s might limit high-speed photography in bright conditions, a consideration for fast lenses. - 📱 Wireless tethering allows remote camera control, albeit with some lag, suitable for monitoring and adjusting shots from a distance. - 🔋 GPS feature drains battery even when the camera is off, ideal for continuous use but requires caution to conserve battery life. - 🎨 Excellent color reproduction and contrast control, making it suitable for portraits and various lighting conditions. - 🌃 Good performance in low light up to ISO 3200, making it viable for event and travel photography. - 🎥 Video quality offers pleasing color rendition out of the camera but lacks dynamic range, requiring careful exposure and color management. - ⚙ Versatile usage across street photography, portraits, and simple filmmaking due to its balanced performance and affordability. - 🏞 Durable and lightweight design makes it suitable for various weather conditions andeasy to handle with a range of lenses. - 🚀 Affordable entry into full-frame photography with features like Wi-Fi connectivity and GPS, despite its age and some technical limitations.

I nearly bought an Olympus 400 series DSLR in 2007/2008, as I wanted something smaller than my Canon DSLR. Then m43 was announced and I waited. Glad I did, now that I think of it.

i bought a 400D a few months ago, i mostly take it for hikes and vacations because my Phones camera/memory is crap, it's a very good camera for just hobby photos, just for fun, i got the camera with the 18-55 lense and a UV lense for like a £100 and i got a 75-300 lense for a £110(both refurbished), they're like keypart of my walks and hikes now

Coming from a 7d mk i + ef-s 55-250 (which has a very comparable range) to an RP + this lens I have to say the IQ upgrade is quite noticeable while using similar settings. Not sure if anyone would find this helpful, just thought I'll leave this here in case anyone is wondering about the differences. It's also twice the size compared to the ef-s lens but feels much better built as well. I just wish I could try it out on my 7d. 🙂

That was such an enjoyable video above that beautiful camera thank you 😍. You’ve got such a nice friendly and calm appearance especially in comparison to these business focused other KZbinrs sometimes and you got immediately a new subscriber. I’m also a Canon shooter and now buying into the Fuji gfx system so I hope to see a lot of nice content like this in the future 👏😊

If you do not do video and print to A3 from the whole frame why pay more? You can use the AF lenses which are great and cheap. A great choice and not just for beginners.

I had the G1MKII but unfortunately the zoom flex cable was cut. I later learned that it is a common problem in several G series models. And it is not an easy repair because to change the flex cable you have to disassemble the entire camera. The same if you eventually want to clean the sensor due to dust. I also had the G7X and it turned out to be a faster, more agile camera, with a focus that almost never failed but the image quality compared to the G1X was noticeably inferior. I finally replaced this type of camera because M43 bodie and lenses, I maintain a compact size, I can clean the sensor if necessary, I can change optics and there are sealed bodies that withstand abuse better.

Have a D50, love the top lcd screen and on boot up the menu screen doesn’t come on so it is instantly on and you can use it straight away. Coming from a F80 it all feels very familiar. I’m able to use my old lenses and it all works autofocus metering the lot it just works. I have an old autofocus 18mm coming in the post and it should work perfectly, you can’t beat that

Preciate your take on this. Thought about trying a Sony DSLR but never got around to it. Cool thing is it can accept Minolta autofocus glass and I’ve heard good things about the price/performance ratio. Do you suppose it’s easy to find accessories like flash and extra batteries? Did the menu diving get on your nerves after a while? I might revisit the lens lineup to see if there’s anything interesting.

@6:00 You can use the viewfinder's Boost Mode to be able to use it in when pretty much pitch black. It's like almost having night vision. But then you lose the real time exposure simulation, which is the greatest advantage of an EVF...
