The way she might have actually wanted to confess her feelings for him (I love you) but he went after Sejanus in that scene so he never have heard a whole song and she never said it to him. Somehow I think she really did love him but bc he showed lack of trust in her he lost her.

He cried and kissed her in the books when she finished the song. Was excited to see it in the movies but he walked away after hearing her say “snow.” It was enough for him, as he knows the song was about him and that’s all he needed to know.
