This is somewhere that I really resonate with Taoism, where the goal was to prolong the life and seek immortality. These modern religions made to control use Karma to justify inequality and heaven to justify accepting an unfair life and early death. I say nobody knows what's after but I'm guessing the energy that makes up yourself dissipates, so it is best to preserve this.

I want to ask you a question. Of course I understand that you believe magic isn't just "me here, spirit there" and the underlining "how it works" part is more complex. I'm simply wondering if your take is that magic can only affect "you" (the individual person) or the magic you perform can also affect others. As your podcasts have left me thinking you only believe Spirits can affect the person doing the ritual in changing him, but they can't affect other people.
