Ballas and grove street was one in 1987 but they got beef because families told them what to do thwn ballas rejected and 2 families killed a ballas member which ended with this beef over 38 years now

the families was going to be in grove street in gta and the ballas would be in chamberlain hills but they changed it up

@redfather5342 if you go to the families territory and look at one of the walls in their hood you'll see CHB which means Chamberlain hills ballas and I think it's also at Franklin's garage wall to and it says CGB Chamberlain Gangster Ballas But they had changed it up from there so we were going to have grove street but they decided to change it up

There was originally dlc of franklin when he took over grove street from ballas but it was cannelled but it was leak when GTA v source code leak i wish its happen and took over grove back and after that you can open territory système like gta sa after glen park mission

They were called The Families already in the original game "I thought this was Families turf" Cj in the first mission "All the Families sets are gonna meet..." Sweet in Reuniting the Families

I really wish they did more with them in GTA5. I remember being so hyped from the Franklin Trailer, but so disappointed when the GTA5 credits rolled, and I realised they were basically set dressing, barely different from the buildings and trees.. They really teased me with the Grove Street mission, plus Franklin and Lamar (and maybe Trevor) talking about starting their own set of The Families. I thought this would be the beginning of Gang Wars, and you can take over Ballas and Vagos turf as Franklin. But Franklin is almost forgotten about after that, and Michael & Trevor become the focus of the story.

I completely agree with you. The Franklin trailer really made it seem like we were going to get something similar to the gang dynamics in San Andreas. But in the final game, The Families and Ballas barely get any attention. Even though the gang-related missions-like Stretch’s mission, the Chop mission, and Hood Safari-were some of the best parts, it felt like there should’ve been a lot more. Honestly, I can’t help but feel that we might’ve gotten more of that in a DLC, but the focus on microtransactions killed any chance of that happening.

@@Zeekass Yeah I get that Franklin is trying to better his life, which is most peoples excuse. But that just isn't fun, and offers no end game content. CJ bettered his life with the mansion and casino, but you could still run around conquer Los Santos for fun, even after the credits roll.
