Glorious. Why has it been expunged from the blue and purple band books?

Why is this glorious old tune not in any band book beyond the old red ones?

my father tried to program this piece with his band. He almost got a revolution 😅. Too modern, too difficult and certainly not Christian enough 😊. I wish he can listen to this recording from heaven. Like a kind of revenge😊. Thank you for sharing!

A rarity. I played it a few times. The band had a few difficulties to perform well some passages 😅. Here the soloist struggles a bit with rhythm 😊. Thanks for sharing!

Nobody plays marches like theISB of the laye 50's and 60's. But no one had the great Roland Cobb leading the front row. John Edward.😊

Wonderful memory of Maesteg band playing this lovely piece at the Sunday Salvation meeting in the 1940s. It was played a little faster than the recording. One of the songsters would stand and sing the descant during the piece, it always set the seal on the service. Would love to hear it played again by our bands in these more modern times. This is true worship music. Thank you so much for sharing

Heard this song a few weeks ago. On the web. Stream from Trinidad. 🇹🇹 on music radio 97.1. On Sunday morning. Celia Scott played it. And. I was immediately brought to tears. Such a beautiful song. Reminds me of the Goretti group from Holy Name convent. POS. I live New York. But my heart is and will always be in Trinidad. 🇹🇹.
