When I was a kid, my Granny knew that my favorite Christmas treats were her Mississippi Mud Cake and her white Divinity fudge. Sadly, she passed away before I was able to get the recipes from her but the recipe you have here is as close as I have seen online. The only differences that I can recall is that she used marshmallow cream instead of actual marshmallows. Thank You for sharing! Now I can mix one up to share with neighbors!

The easy way to rake and bag leaves is to mow them and not rake and bag leaves.

Great vid 👍. I bought a 1 acre home in the country with 3 mature maple trees in my yard...First couple years i raked and used my pickup truck ☺️ Then i bought a zero turn mower and a towable dump cart and towable sweeper and bought mulching blades... Haven't raked leaves in over 10 years...Mulched leaves are good for the soil and turn into dirt and natural fertilizer and ground up leaves put on rose bush base insulates rose bush base...
@jerrydinsmore3010Ай бұрын
how about using a mulching lawn mower and just empty the bag when it gets full?
@DavidsTutorialsАй бұрын
Thanks for the comment, Jerry, and I do mow-mulch for the first couple months of leaf season; but then the leaves come down so fast it's time to get out the rakes. Compostable plastic bags (found them after I made this video) are made from corn starch: amzn.to/2FGjVC3 (for backyard composting) or amzn.to/2DNdPgT (for curbsite pickup). I've tried the tarp thing, the mower-bagger thing, the riding-mower thing, the blower thing, and the blower-vacuum-mulcher thing, *_and they are all quite a bit more work than this._* I am now hoping to work around to doing mulching/composting, which I plan to enhance with biochar and maybe even vermiculture. (If those two concepts are new to you, they are definitely worth checking out for any serious composter.)
@stratocasterblueАй бұрын
Except don't you want to just mulch the leaves back into your lawn together with cutting the grass the last mow of the year because the leaves give you ash and potassium and mix that with the grass nitrogen and let it sit through winter giving you the most organic potent compost for free already spread out on your lawn and use your bags for trash and your energy for the wifes wish list

@@DavidsTutorials I see I have a lot of trees too I am not going to bag anything I have way too many so I make a few piles then the last 2 times I mow I mulch them in along with the grass its the only way and in the spring it looks like a golf course then I spread worm castings around also

Your fence has already rotten away. I’ll teach you how clean your yard from the leaves!Just twist the bag and roll it,and fill it with leaves easy breasy,not need drilling holes 😂Use hand shovels to collect leaves .Do not make big piles.,made them small,that way you want get tired fast.😂Good luck!

I use my rotary lawnmower and mow the leaves like mowing the lawn. The lawnmower makes the leaves all chewed up and very small. You'll be done quickly and a large number of leaves becomes a very small amount. Give it a try.

The engineering design and then the manufacturing, the warehousing and distribution, the wholesaling, the marketing, and the shipping ... all that is WAAAYYYY more than I'm motivated to take on at this season of my life. So I'm happy simply showing others how to make their own.

I drill 1/2 inch holes in the bottom of all my trash cans that I use for trash so that when the trash is picked up and the lid left open and its raining the can don't fill up with water.
@DavidsTutorialsАй бұрын
That's a clever solution! Keeping your trash cans dry is a smart way to avoid any mess when it rains.

1) Mulch the leaves using your lawn mower. 2) Using a blower, blow them into piles using the circular method this gentleman uses. 3) Use two flat aluminum snow shovels to pick up the fragmented leaves.
@stratocasterblueАй бұрын
Mulch the leaves and grass together the last time of the year and leave it on the lawn to decompose over winter making the most organic compost their is ash potassium and nitrogen already spread out let it grow tall in the spring and gradually cut it down you will have the healthiest lawn their is forget raking
