Nadia - Cool Video ! As a Lifetime resident of Santa Rosa & a Huge History Geek. I have always been intrigued by The McDonald Ave Homes, especially Mapleton AKA The McDonald Mansion. This is a question you might not have been asked before. 😮 Given the high cost of building custom Homes now a days. The estimated value of this House based on research stands now at between 9 & 12 Million dollars. ? What's your best guess on the cost to build a similar House with similar amenities & property size. Considering it was probably built with virgin redwood. The Webley Family did a splendid job in their remodeling process. What's your professional guess as to my question. Jim ( Snowman ) Owen.

Nothing. There is nothing to do in Windsor. I grew up there, for a teenager or young adult you have… a bowling alley, hiking, and restaurants. For a kid you have a couple small playgrounds. You live there, go to school, and go to Santa Rosa for absolutely everything else.

I love the outdoor events in town green and the local restaurants...Windsor has changed so much over the years and has become so much more popular

I love that there’s nothing, I can travel to do things. Theres Santa Rosa, the bay area isn’t too far off and accessible by train and bus. I lived in Windsor from 1998-2003 and only came back to visit this year, I was pleased to see not much has changed. Everyone is so friendly, and it’s so green and quiet. I’m 32 and saving hard so I can have the privilege to hang my hat in Windsor once again!

Btw fun fact, my user name is actually the address of the first home we lived in in Windsor back in ‘98, right next to Brooks Elementary. That little town left that much of an impression on me. I swear I will return someday…

Oakmont is nice, but very isolated from shopping. Your brief video is misleading regarding the shopping and dining. The tiny grocery store in Oakmont has limited selection and is expensive. The closest grocery store of size is just one Safeway.
