It does.. both characters are similar as well. Both of them are hardworkers, working very hard to get acknowledgement from others. People kept demanding more of them, so they tried harder, yet everytime they only make things worst or never made it. They do this over and over until they reached insanity.

Silco was a better father than Vi was a sister. He never judged her, never disrespected her, and even when she killed him, he forgave her. It feels very, very intentional that Vi attempting to "help" Jinx "remember who she is" by invoking the other kids only sent her into a violent panic.
