I am so glad it helped, I have been there myself, getting the wiring correct can be such a pain.
@kylenunnelley1482Ай бұрын
I don't think the black and yellow striped wire I had was ever hooked up because I can't get positive or ground continuity when cranking or just power at all when hooked up to the battery now the green is ground and you said black to Black in the video so I'm not real sure what the black and yellow striped wire is or where it goes but it definitely doesn't activate the coil and it definitely doesn't have any sort of juice at this time to the ground side or to the hot side so I'm going to take that black wire and run it from the ignition switch to the primary side of the coil and I should get spark back

My Coolster mini jeep (GK6125) has the 125 Honda clone engine. I purchased it new ($2800) and from the day I uncrated it, it wouldn’t turn over! Had a bad starter and solenoid! (Replaced them with Coolster OEM parts). Replaced the starter switch. I’ve replaced SIX starter chains since buying it, (some Coolster, some from Amazon). Looking at your starter chain replacement video has me questioning why mine keep breaking. Your starter chain looks pretty taught. Mine seem too long and I have more slack in the chain than yours. I think they are 62 links. My chain broke again yesterday, after about five days. They are a bear to replace because there isn’t much room on these mini jeeps. I usually remove the gas tank (positioned above the engine) and the left front wheel (for better access), but the steering column always makes the bottom stator cover bolt a bear to get out. Anyhow, I guess I’ll try removing a chain link and see if the chain will still fit? Every third or fourth key turn ends with a huge metal bang. After a few days and several metal bangs, I get the dreaded whirring of the starter motor! I’ve reported this (and other problems) to Venom Powersports and also to Coolster since uncrating it. They ask for videos and sometimes suggest inspecting this or inspecting that, or replacing this or replacing that (which I’ve always done, but nothing has fixed the situation. They won’t admit (or deny) they have sent me a bad jeep. I even replaced the stator ring. The original wiring harness (going to the ignition switch and other places was melted). it was wrapped in electrical tape. The replacement stator ring wiring harness was covered with a heavy rubber shield (like shrink wrap). Maybe the original jeeps do come wrapped in electrical tape? Makes me suspicious however! Also two of the four rear axle bolts needed loosened and the tensioner eye bolts needed adjusted because the drive chain was slapping the under-carriage of the Jeep a lot. However, I couldn’t remove the axle bolts because two of the four were stripped. Same with one of two of the tensioner bolts! I’m no mechanic but I’m sure getting a lot of practice repairing this blasted thing. Neither the company or dealer has been much help.
@brokemexicanreviews2 ай бұрын
Bro this is the longest comment I’ve ever received😂 Do your starter chain have the plastic tension guides in place?
@vscolkitt2 ай бұрын
@@brokemexicanreviews Sorry about the lengthy rap sheet! I guess I needed to vent to somebody who might listen (verses Coolster and Venom Powersports not being much help!) My two rubber starter chain guides are in place…. (even replaced them with one of the new chains I had installed). The rubber guides do not have a spring tensioner on them (like I’ve seen on other you-tuber’s channels). I was wandering about the really huge metallic bang that occurs with every other start attempt. I’m no mechanic but pretty handy at figuring things out on my own. After replacing the chain, the engine purrs along like nothing happened! Yesterday, chain #6 broke! It takes three hours to replace it! I was hoping you might have a suggestion on the Big Bang sound. It always occurs after attempting a one or two second start, then releasing the start key. As soon as the start key releases, I get the Big Bang ! (Maybe sometimes just before releasing the start key position?) I’ve replaced the starter twice (so a bad starter gear couldn’t be the culprit. The gear on the starter flywheel turns fine by hand… turning freely in one direction and not in the other…like it should!) The teeth on the starter flywheel don’t look worn either and no signs of metal shavings, but a little bit of rubber shavings from the rubber chain guides! Sorry to sound desperate, but this jeep was purchased brand spanking new and it has never worked! Now I’m looking at buying another new 125cc engine ($330), just to fix what should have been an easy fix! Also, with only about 20 total hours on this thing, I spent $500 on two service calls for a low compression problem. The head bolts were loose! Five minutes after arriving home, the head bolts were loose again! On my second visit, a new head and head gasket were installed), but he apparently didn’t hear the Big Bang sound? Just wandering if you’ve ever run across this scenario? Again, I apologize for the lengthy discussion!
