I live in NYC, where our winters have gotten more cold over the years, and last winter I decided to get the Uniqlo heat tech tops and leggings for my entire family. If you have access to Uniqlo either in your country or online, I highly recommend. I don't have too much adipose tissue, so I get cold very easily....even on cool spring days, and Heat tech saved me. Plus the tops don't look like undergarments, so they double as shirts, and Uniqlo gives tips on each garment like medium warm, very warm etc. Hope this helps.
