Thank you for a very detailed tutorial! I've downloaded your video for reference. Yours is the only one I found that explain thoroughly how to fold the fabrics for each pattern. I've made mistakes of getting the pattern right but the fabric wrong, such a waste of fabric 😢

I am confused. You added 1 inch to the waist measurement giving you 26 inches. That is to consider the seam allowance. You also added 1/2 inch to your pattern radius.
@senoritaabul Жыл бұрын
Hi, 1" is seam allowance for the back of the skirt for the zip. 1/2 " at the radius is seam allowance to add a waistband.

Tanx so much for taking your time to share such a detailed tutorial. So I like to ask why did you go by 3" to plot your front waist dart? Also is the value constant for any size. Tanx .
@senoritaabul Жыл бұрын
Hi sorry for the late reply. Most times, it around 3" for alot of people. But ultimately, it should match the dart legs on your bodies pattern.

Please check the description box. I have all the formulas for the calculations there.
@nesa.c8240 Жыл бұрын
@@senoritaabul I saw the formula in the description box. Just wanted to know how you came up with it, the math behind it.
@sandrafloriandre2633Ай бұрын
@nesa.c8240 Pi is 3,14 and it's important for the radius. As an example, for the full circle skirt, the calculations are : "pi x 2" = 3,14 x 2 = 6,28. To answer your question for the 3/4 skirt, the calculation are : (pi/2) x 3 = 1,57 x 3 = 4,71. Hope it's clear as English is not my first language.
