My old Wira 1.6XLi also has those soft touch dashboard and door trim. It held out well even parked under the sun for most of its life.

Proton R3 model dat are love and adored - GTi R3,NEO Lotus Racing, NEO R3 RS and NEO Clubsport. The other R3 are just cosmetic(Zerokit) for Savvy, Waja, Gen 2, NEO and Inspira. Such a shame bcoz the people who was incharge of Proton post 2010 are not into cars, let alone motorsport.

All those models (except Savvy and Waja) had R3 part options sold and ready to be retrofitted. Waja and Gen2 had a slightly beefed up performance model in the MME models, though not a full-on R3 car. Apa boleh buat...business priorities have changed

@@tractiontalk everyone knew R3 is just a marketing tool for Proton to help boost the Proton brand. We are way ahead of Hyundai N cars. Regular Hyundai is still a shitbox but I'm willing to trade my 2012' Mazda MPS3 for a Hyundai i30N. I'm gonna be blunt. The problem with Proton during Tengku Mahaleel, was he isn't a popular bloke, same can be said about Tengku Djan. I can only speak for myself, I don't give a fcuk if he is an asshole, if he and his team can roll out halo Proton hot hatch, just let it be. Same goes to u, I only care about your content. No point being the nicest guy in Malaysia if u roll out shitty content. U get me? Gud, keep doing wat u are doing mate😘

It's normal when dealing with Malays. U shud not be surprise when they mix Waja MME and MMC 😅 they even simply called the boot/trunk into bonet belakang and bonnet/hood into bonet depan, the true definition of moron 😂😂 Skrng dah takde Malaysia Boleh! dah tukar ke Asal Boleh!! 😂

Handsome car, made even more suave by the gloss monochromatic treatment. CamPro as usual is one of the more powerful 1.6 fours that's not a B16B or a 4AGE 20V. Awesome content as always, hoping one day that you'll feature a Proton Savvy R3 Zerokit in the channel.

Ah back when the Waja was touted as the BMW of Asia. I think I have seen the rear lamps and thought it must have been an aftermarket modification. How does the shifting and clutch feel if I may ask? Also, would you be interested in featuring a 2015 Proton iRiz 1.6 MT?

The tail lamps do look aftermarket. I imagine them having those sequential signals if sold nowadays in acc. shops. Clutch pedal is surprisingly light unlike Gen2 Campro's. Shifter is firm but not stiff unlike the Neo CPS. You could daily this car with ease. Wow an MT Iriz sounds good! But being TractionTalk, I gotta ask - is it still stock? @@tractiontalk hi there, dropped you a follow but can't message you on IG unless you follow back it seems. To answer your question, yes, it's stock as far as I know with the exception of the exhaust muffler, it's a tad loud, slight pops upon downshifting or release of the accelerator but not fire spitting (thank goodness). I think the previous owner had a botched exhaust job 😂 Drove the Neo CPS once which was "riced up" with cut springs, not quite sure what to make of it but to think it's been butchered and abused. Once considered the Satria family but it being barang panas, I'll pass

I'd love to! I've tested the B8.5 RS5 (2015, 4.2L V8). What struck me was...its great comfort despite rocking 20in wheels. It surprised me. I thought the 450hp V8 would be the first to make an impression.

The mme kit actually transformed how the gen2 looks. The malaysian motor industry has some very interesting cars..the wira c99, putra 1.8 and the satria gti. Over in singapore we had the satria gti but sadly none of it survived the coe system. Very cool cars from the 90s to early 2000 era indeed

Proton gen2 R3 MME keluaran 200unit.. bersama waja MME kenapa persona proton tidak cipta R3 sebab persona di cipta untuk orang awam standard patut lah body dan interior persona dan gen2 berbeza body gen2 body rendah dan pendek hampir semua keta sport body rendah dan pendek..itu yang di katakan proton sendiri gen2 sesuai untuk anak muda atau org yg minat body sport kerana gen2 di cipta design body sport persona di cipta standard awam kerana itu race atau rally smua org luar negara guna body gen2 tapi di malaysia budak BBNU tak tahu. Add on info...The Waja MME R3 only 100 units were made and Proton Gen 2 MME R3 also 100 units. Mine is Proton Gen 2 MME R3 035...

@@tractiontalk The head of DSR, Mr. Suriya. He was among those who involve with the project. I want to restore the paint job on my MME. After chit chat with him, he told me that R3 only make 100 units for both Gen 2 and Waja for MME Edition. Mine with the number 15 on the fender, Using the Lotus Exige 300(Team Proton R3 Amprex) number.

Thanks for the end credit to me bro. I was the 2nd owner from new. Condition of the car was horrible from the pics seen at the end tu hehe.. managed to restore it as best as i can. Getting those rims were not easy!! But unfortunately after everything done, I didn’t use the car much and sold it to Mahfudz. I am glad that he continues to take care of the car and adding that fine touches. The Waja still is a great car to drive even at this day. 🫡🤝🏼

All this would not have been possible if you did not start the spark. Mahfudz would not be having this car, and I would not have an opportunity to shoot it. Arwah pakcik aku ada sebiji, after meninggal accident sportbike, isteri dia drive daily until kena hentam dari belakang by fully loaded tanker during slow moving traffic jam.. After repair, she sold it because penat ulang alik seremban - kl. If only i knew it earlier, i would save the car within my family

Yes, in fact my first time seeing it in metal. Based on a track record of R3 market prices, I'd speculate it to be around RM30k - 40k, maybe even early 50k. Think of it, even the rare R3 Neo still has a few units in the used market. But this?

@@fyzallyfe2210 aku terlepas GTi R3 ... gedebuk, gedebak jatuh sebijik kat riba dgn rege jackpot pasai kereta standard. 2 bulan lepas aku dpt, tetiba trend berubah, nak dpt GTi R3 std bwh RM25k mmng idak le. So, rezki dtng waktu kita tak jangka. Ada lagi 2 bijik kereta aku yg masa launch aku hanya mampu tengok .... tak mencari pun, tau² ada yg nak jual rege masuk akal. Timing tu Allah je yg tahu😘
