penguin reminds me in MANY WAYS of my second fav character of all time IVAR THE BONELESS in Vikings...because of how they begin literally on the ground then soar into the sky with their new wings..they push themselves and push and push and push and come along way after such cruelty and being pushed aside for so long and being utterly alone... also ivar befriends a kid same as penguin did and he saves him...anyway the character development of both was insane and moving...

this is a true masterpiece
