Our little dog (10 year old Morkie, will be 11 if she makes it until January 10) has been the brightest spot in our family these past years. Having her was the best thing that happened to each of us. Pure love. About 1 1/2 years ago, she was diagnosed with Mitral Valve Disease (a progressive, leaking heart valve). This was devastating news and we brought her, miles away, to see a cardiologist. So we've been doctoring her for that, and returning for check-ups, and sad about that. But she hasn't progressed much so that part was good. This past September, she started to look really distressed. The local vet thought she may have a tick disease and sent out a big blood panel, treated her for tick disease. Nope. Wasn't that. Took a series of radiographs. Nope, nothing wrong there. We went back to the big university where the cardiologist is. She saw a primary who took her down the hall and got some real quick tests at ophthalmology. Came back and announced she was blind from SARDS. Sudden Acute Retinal Degeneration Syndrome. She went blind within days or a couple of weeks time. (No doubt the two weeks she was trying to tell us she was so distressed). We were told: You didn't do anything wrong, no one knows why they get SARDS, there is no treatment, there is no cure. Told us to buy a book on blind dogs. So we drive home, so extremely sad, with a blind dog. Naturally, she was depressed. continued to have symptoms of labored breathing, panting, being restless. We attributed it to her heart and did follow-up. Then one day she jumped off the couch, head first, into the coffee table ... when someone knocked on the door. Really hit her head. (And yes, we had moved the coffee table ... but obviously not far enough away). She continued to show symptoms. We DID bring her in, locally, to the vet. Our new local primary vet advised us to ask for a neurology appointment at the university. So we were there in not long for her usual six month check-ups. Neurology wants her back for an MRI. "Brain tumor" was mentioned. We are back home now and waiting for that appointment. A week or so has gone by, and she's getting even more alarming symptoms. We had been attributing everything to either her A) heart problem or B) her new blindness. It certainly appears she probably has a brain tumor. She's showing those signs of pain now (that you show in your video). Local vet put her on gabapentin recently. She's had a loss of consciousness twice when we've tried to waken her. She hasn't played since she went blind. I won't list all of the strange things she does or the ways in which she's changed. But it is a long list. Thank you for posting this video. It is very helpful. Sad to watch and I'm sorry you had to loose your dog this way. Dogs are the best. Our hearts are broken right now at our house. We are due back on 1/9 for an MRI and I doubt she will make it until then. We see the local vet tomorrow for his advice.

Labels on the top may seem like a small detail, but it saves time and effort setting up. For me, the deal breaker against the Yamaha was the single split point - 2 zones. I need at least 3 splits and 4 zones. The Fantom gives me up to 16 instruments with a selectable range for each instrument. (essentially 88 potential splits points and 16 zones.) I also like the slim configuration of the Fantom. It means I can buy a slim line case for it, instead of a standard case. This saves a pound or two of weight.
