Fair, but I really liked this movie even though I've never had a desire to see the original Anne of Green Gables.

Well to be fair, Henry spent all of his time with Emma never with Regina. So, Regina was so desperate to spend time with her son. She saw the signs of Henry not being himself but chose to ignore them for this reason. Tbh, I think Henry is awful. He treated Regina like crap the first two seasons (I'm not saying he should've allowed the curse to continue, just like Regina shouldn't have made him feel like he was crazy. But he could have at least been loyal to Regina when she was framed for killing Archie.). Even in the beginning of season 4, Henry's afraid Regina will go back to evil because of the thing with Robin's wife. Regina needs time alone sometimes, she's changed and all of them including Henry should know that by now. Regina's always been his mother, she just wouldn't let go of the Evil Queen side until Henry needed her to save him from Pan.

@@ashleypanzica4924 Yeah, you have a valid point. But, if I remember correctly, didn't Regina try to use Archie to destroy Henry's beleif and spirit? "I want you to take that hope Henry has and crush it" That wasn't something a mother would want for her own child. And then she tried to poison Emma, not so she could keep Henry, it was so the curse could continue. And framing Mary Margaret, that wasn't because she was bad or evil it was because she was evil. And Henry says "you really are the evil queen" she doesn't deny that she evil. She said it hurt her the he saw her that way. Then in never land pan ties them to a magical tree and regret would keep them their but Regina didn't feel bad at all she regretted nothing. Not making Henry miserable not the way she treated him not framing Mary Margaret not killing gram not poisoning Emma and certainly not mentally abusing Henry.

@@ashleypanzica4924 How would he know she _didn't_ kill Archie? As she herself admitted later, she was the natural suspect. ANnd in S4, Regina almost _did_ revert to evil, she had actually decided to murder Marian _again_ , she changed her mind at the last minute, but Henry's suspicions were reasonable and smart. Regina has a _horrible_ track record.

@@lemonadelemon1960 Yeah, there's no way around it, Regina was a ghastly bad, abusive parent in S1 and before. The sweet nice loving mother version of Regina is a just fanon, wishful thinking. The actual canon is right there on the screen, and it's not very nice.

Idk, i think that Regina knew that something was wrong with Henry, but she chose to ingnore because she finally had a good relationship with her son after long time apart. I agree with you about Regina was a bad mother until season 2, i mean she has cursed everyone and made feel henry crazy. But in season 2 she voluntarily entrust Henry to David because she knew that it was the best thing for her son even if she wanted him. That’s when she start to change. In addition, every time Henry has a problem he goes to Regina for help. So i think that their realtionship has evolved through the seasons, beginning bad and finish like a true mother and son
