"I'm an ultra-distances trail runner based in Nepal"... 🤔 It is a shame to see that some decent tourists were convinced by this person to waste their money following him and endanger their lives. I completed the Manaslu circuit later in the same year of 2022, and recognized instantly many of the difficult paths they struggled with - including the landslide that made them (crap themselves!) turn back... I am stunned to see how poorly they navigate the terrain, with no useful guidance, and the ridiculous chances they take stepping on mud that collapses below them as though it is solid. I managed to traverse those same obstacles because I wasn't ignorant enough to try at the tail end of the MONSOON season! There were hairy moments, but I was never in imminent danger because of my (limited but relevant) experience and most importantly the expertise of our guides. It was the most stunning trek of my life!! 🙏 Pick a reputable guide or a reputable company and you will have the adventure of a lifetime. Alternatively, cut costs and pick the nearest Nepali who claims to be an expert swimmer. See how that works out in the Himalayas. 😫🤣
