Google Ads is really difficult to get a good ROI on unless you know exactly what and what not to target. Even then, if your landing page or website aren’t optimized for conversions you’ll still be paying too much. The problem is it’s deceptively simple so it looks like any business owner can get a profitable campaign up and running in a few hours. Most of our clients have tried it themselves but realized they were wasting most of their ad spend.

Our founder started by herself on Uber and handed a business card to tourists she was dropping off at hotels and letting them know they could contact her directly if they wanted to schedule a ride back to the airport with her. She would match Uber's price and would be available 24/7 for pre-booked rides. After some proof of concept she created a FB page where people could like/follow/message and leave/read reviews. Bought a bigger nicer SUV and within a year she was no longer using Uber. Another 6 months and I joined as a fulltime driver. It's still just the 2 of us, spending nearly zero on advertising, using FB groups and word of mouth and doing affiliate work. We don't see a need to hire on additional drivers/staff, because building a network of affiliates is easier and we don't feel responsible for putting food on their tables like we would with an employee that's dependent on us. Plus they're all marketing for themselves which will overflow to us, if we hired an employee to drive they certainly wouldn't spend much of their free time marketing for us/themselves.

I feel slightly targeted in this lol. We spoke before, I'm the Jet van person in South Florida. I took your advice and am marketing internally to other affiliates. However, to other Jet Van Operators, it would be best to also sell the bigger coaches for your ad spend. Basically being a large coach broker with a Jet Van for direct clients and affiliates.

Yeah, if you want to be a broker, the only way to go is bigger vehicles. There isn’t enough margin in there with the small ones.

Yeah but here's the problem with the black SUV in Tampa, it's called premier and it has a little bit looser standards than it does black in Jacksonville, at least that's my understanding from what I looked into it. I'm trying to open a black car service in Jacksonville and it's much stricter than it is in Tampa.

@@LimoMarketer Premier, from what I'm told by Uber, doesn't have all the commercial requirements that Black has, it can be run just like UberX with non-commercial registration and insurance. This is a huge advantage to get started. Orlando and Jacksonville are Black, Tampa and Miami are Premier. I've asked how Uber came up with this and was told they didn't know. It's always hard to get any useful information from Uber support.

And if you don’t have no trips get out there to the airport or something, pull up to arrivals, get out, pop your trunk, and hand out some business cards, can’t wait on Google ads, Yelp ads etc, you gotta get out on foot, get some business card holders and place them in prestigious areas, real strategic like! This limo business ain’t no joke. You are a 1099 worker, you are not a W-2 anymore unless you still have a job, but if you are all in, then you have to look at this shit as a business, you have to make your own moves as a business entity, this line of work is for real hustlers, if you want to make $100k a year in business, you gotta make $400 a day, 1 customer direct trip for 4hrs at $100hr, that just the rate in my area, not including gratuity, you could of done 2 others trips that same day, little airport runs, the money in limo is crazy, is all about clientele!

@@Gabagoolll471I'm on it in Los Angeles. It sends me business but those are their customers, not mine. They have penalties that will eat up the profits as you learn their system. The pay can be as much as 45 days from the day you give the ride. Nothing beats finding your own leads and building your client list.

Truth right here. 💯 There's a huge difference and it feels so much better when you have real commercial insurance. Also, at least for my airport permit, they want to see you have the real thing and they want themselves added as insured. Same for Blacklane.

@@Gabagoolll471Not in Los Angeles. Airline employee transportation is a totally different permit at LAX. Blacklane has a website. They're another feeder company 100% scheduled rides. They're the closest I've seen to getting an airline contract but that doesn't automatically mean big bucks. It does mean daily volume.
