That's awesome dude! I love the Commands and Colors system and I own quite a bit of it myself. I've been toying with the idea of using the Warlord Games Epic ACW minis with the Kallistra Hexon tiles to play Battle cry.

Love a good dungeon crawl! Although, I confess I hate app usage for games of any kind, but I get it... Mantic's version of heroquest - Dungeon Saga and Dungeon Saga origins are a tiny step up from regular heroquest and I'd suggest them if you haven't tried em.

Watched to the end. Doubtful I'll be around for the live action. I had Heroquest back in my teenage years. I can't remember if I played it that much. I don't think I had a consistent Zargon and there weren't apps back then.

A rate of fire die. Nice! Those pesky archers should have to disengage before being able to fire when Grimwald is right next to them.

Love your upscaling. Ames it look like a proper Wargame. Had the opportunity to buy it before COVID…didn’t get it and regret it. just discovered yesterday the company that had it here in Malaysia survived the pandemic. I hope they still have it. Will find out tomorrow.

Am shocked the shop that had 6 years ago is still running, albeit only 2 afternoons a week and he still had it. Got it new unopened for USD115. Most money I ever spent on a board game but I like the concept of the importance of the officers who lead the regiments. It looks like one of the later releases as all 10 scenarios included (had read some early ones were missing 4) and the British and French artillery are molded in the correct colours. Had read on BGG that some had them in the wrong ones. Hope to learn it quickly. I have wanted to play Napoleonics for decades and this seems to be an easy foot in the door. And I have a ton of old rules from Charles Grant and a few others from the 1970s for which these miniatures can also be used with. To paint or not to paint is the next question.

When he started rambling on about wind change in the Rally Phase, he lost me. 1980's Squad Leader Rally Phase was complex enough. ASL is too advanced for me, but I admire those grognards with the fortitude to play it.

Really enjoyed hearing your run-through of the rules. Like yourself, I mainly play solo, and while C&C is already good for that, I think these mods sound like a lot of fun. Thanks for sharing them. I’m looking forward to giving them a try. With regards to GMT’s official scenarios, do you generally find the number of commanders in any given scenario is about right? I’m guessing that too many commanders will make it too easy to activate units, whilst too few will make it too difficult (from memory I think it’s normally 3 or 4 commanders per side for most scenarios?) Also, just wondering if you make any special allowance for cav units that might often operate further away from commanders, and therefore be harder to activate?
@hexesandsoldiers60325 ай бұрын
The number of leaders in each scenario does tend to feel about right. The average maximum distance a unit is from a leader tends to be about 3-4 hexes. I haven’t considered adjusting for cavalry. I feel like the activation system causes you to think twice before trotting all over the place.

Hello from Poland. I consider Russian Army in CCN a bit understrength an unbalanced especially in Epic scenario's. . What do you think about randomness of Mother Russia Roll and do you have any Idea how to fix it with some other mechanic? I was thinking about double roll for command or giving reinforcements for LN and LI for number of commander on the field in addition to M.R.R.
@hexesandsoldiers60327 ай бұрын
I don't like the mother russia roll and don't use it. I haven't really considered how to fix it but i will try and look into it and see what i can come up with...
